Dr. Frey only stayed in the room for 2-3 minutes with me to say that my blood work is fine. I would complain about my thyroid symptoms and would mention that my levels are low from the blood work. But I would be ignored and told to try weight watchers and keto diets. After 3 visits, I found another doctor who in 3 months got my levels perfectly back to normal and would sit and explain every single number to me. Everything the new doctor explained is exactly what I would tell Dr. Frey, but he would never acknowledge. The new doctor cut my medication down by more than 75%, that’s how highly medicated Dr. Frey had me. I do not suggest that anyone uses him, I could have damage to my heart and other areas of my body if I wouldn’t have went for a second opinion. Do not recommend.
Brought in a special needs person. Dr. Frey was personable & patient with her communication impediments. His knowledge base was impressive, giving directives to follow for improvement in her condition. All appropriate labs were ordered with timely follow up scheduled. Staff was equally up to par.
Dr Frey clearly knew what I had on my first visit.
Switched to Dr. Frey about 3 yrs ago, he has helped me tremendously on my diabetic journey. I have gone from an insulin pump to once a day injections to now once a week. He is so easy to talk to and actually listens to what you say.
BIG NO!!!!!! Do not go here if you want to feel better. Does not run the correct thyroid labs - he basis everything on TSH when there is so much more to consider. DO YOUR RESEARCH ON REQUIRED THYROID LABS!!!
I was a little nerves at first to see a new Dr. But the staff was awesome and the Dr. explained everything so well. I was at complete ease. I just wish I would have went to Dr. Frey sooner.
Diabetic for over 10 yrs and until I found Dr. Frey I couldn’t get my diabetes under control and didn’t fully understand diabetes
I’ve seen Dr.Frey for three years. He seemed knowledgeable at first but as time went on and my thyroid condition progressed, it became obvious that I’ve been doing this longer than he has. He has zero bedside manner. He’s great at long as you have a ‘textbook condition’, as soon as things get complicated he goes into ‘political mode’, repeating himself, and not answering questions fully. During my last appointment, neither he or his staff ever bothered to ask how I felt.
I was initially very impressed by Dr Frey and his staff after switching from another endo in the area. Didn’t take long for me to realize I never should have left my old endo. Dr Frey couldn’t care less about his patients and his staff is awful and rude!
impossible to get an urgently needed appointment. Have to wait 3 months to be seen. Completely changed my medicines I was taking prescribed by my old endocrinologist which left me absolutely miserable. He didn’t care. Cancelled appointment without notifying me. Staff is not helpful!
He has a good bedside manner and took time to explain to me the procedure that i was going to have done.
Dr Frey is the BEST doctor I have ever encountered in all my 67 years. He is highly knowledgeable, he listens carefully, he explains expertly, but most importantly, he cares!
Very knowledgeable and open minded regarding treatment.
I left Dr. Frey's office feeling like I was in good hands and like he truly cared about me. He is a wonderful doctor and I highly recommend him!
It took 3 months to get an appointment. I had a total thyroidectomy and was seeking a 2nd opinion on post surgical treatment because I feel terrible. I put all of my issues on my patient forms and told the nurse. I mentioned to the doc something before/after my surgery, and his reply was "well what kind of surgery did you have?" UM the one that put me in this situation that I came to see you for? SO basically, he didn't read my info at all. He also didn't run a full thyroid panel. New patient, feeling terrible, just had surgery that threw my entire life off .... and he wouldn't run full labs.
I've seen Dr. Frey three times. I'm totally satisfied with the care I've received from him. He listened to my problems and addressed all my concerns. I never felt rushed and was very pleased with his bedside manner. His staff is very courteous and compassionate. At 68years and having lived out of state, I've had a variety of doctors. Dr. Frey would definitely be in my top 5% of doctors I've seen. Without a doubt, I'd recommend this fine doctor.
The good: he was polite, nice, easy going. Staff was courteous. Office was organized. The bad: he didn't read my chart or what my condition was. I mentioned the cause of my issue, and he had no idea what I was talking about. Attn thyroid patients: he ONLY tests TSH, which is very, very wrong. No good endo relies only on TSH. He wanted to cut my meds in half, make me feel worse, then in 3 months, re-test to see about adding T3. No way. TSH means nothing. FT3 and FT4 combined with TSH are the labs that matter the most. Research your required labs!! I know he is fairly new, and I hope that in time he 'gets' it.
