Dr. Matherne kept refilling an ointment for my granddaughter due to eczema, although he saw it clearly wasn't working. I only gave 1 star because I had to. New doctor started a different treatment immediately.

I find Dr. Matherne a little rude. He does not let you finish speaking and cuts you off with a response that seems like he doesn’t care. It seems like he’s just there just to say he’s there rather than trying to resolve the issues that you are coming to him for.

Dr. Matherne is amazing! I've been going to dermatologists my entire life and he solved my skin issues with a very simple solution. On top of that, he is always very pleasant. Highly recommend!

THIS DOCROR IS A COMPLETE AND TOTAL ASSHOLE. IHE TREATED ME AS I WAS A FREAK OR CRAZY. ASKED ME IF I DID DRUGS BECAUSE OF THE PANIC I WAS IN I REPLUED NO B OVER MY SKIN CONDITION. I HAVE A PHOBIA OF BUGS AND WAS TOLD BY AN ER DOCTOR. AT THIBODAUX REGIONAL I HAD SCABIES. I WENT THROUGH TREATMENT. IT WAS STARTING TO GO AWAY AND THEN IT CAME BACK AGAIN EVEN WORSE. . MATHERNE ASKED ME IF I DID DRUGS I REPLIED ALL I DO IS SMOKE WEED. HE SAID IN A VERY DEMEENING MANNER WELL ITS MAKING YOU PARANOID.. I WAS PISSES. HE ASKED ME THEN WHY DID I THK I HAD SCABIES AND I TOLD HIM OF THE ER DOCTOR AND HE VERY SNARKY LIKE SAID WELL HE CAN TREAT YOU THEN. HE MADE ME FEEL LIKE A SECOND CLADD XITUZEB AND TOKD TGE NURSE I WAS NEUROTUC. I DID WHAT HE SUGGESTED AND ILL BE DAMNED.. GUESS WHAT.. IT DID NOT HELP. NOT EVEN A LITTLE SI I WENT TO ANOTHER PLACE AND WOULDNT YOU KNOW IT..ITS DAMN SCABIES.BUT IMBNEUROTICE AND CAUSING IT MYSELF. ISNT THAT WHAT YOU SAID .DOCTOR MATHERNE. ????? Terrible customer service and botex so diluted it didn’t work at ALL!! They even took a before and after picture and it showed no results. A complete waste of time and a lot of money. I spent more money than I ever spent before and got no results.

I was billed way after my visit and they wouldn’t take my insurance because it was too late. I was stuck with huge bill. (It was a referral I assumed her primary Dr gave her insurance info when they did not as for it) My daughter went in with a problem on her back and all he wanted to do is look at her face. Awful experience.
