Dr Dev is a GREAT Doctor. I've never had a Doctor spend so much time with me. The staff is always nice and professional but a little strict on policies. Dr Dev also shows more emotion then any other Doctor I've seen before, if he feels you have been treated unfairly by another Doctor or staff, he does appear to be really upset which makes me feel as though he really does care about his patients.

I like Dr. Dev. I am changing simply to work in a family therapy situation with a different doc that my family is established with. But I appreciate Dr. Dev and how he has helped me fight depression. He listens to me and makes good suggestions. Thank you, Dr. Dev.

Dr Dev is an awesome psychiatrist and helped me so get on the RIGHT medicine to control my issues. He knows his stuff and listens to you (not at you). I would recommend him to anyone that has severe issues that they are battling.

My first visit was after a nervous breakdown. I am sorry for the patients who had to wait, but Dr. Dev continued to speak with me until it was clear I was okay to leave. Psychiatrists MOSTly watch your meds. Dr. Dev has been working with me, tweaking until I finally feel like my days are normal and depression is not a regular part of my thoughts. Many docs have trouble with quality of office help. So does Home Depot and Belks, if you haven't noticed. But Dr. Dev is highly recommended by nursing staff, which says a lot. If you need emotional counseling, you need a "psychologist." That's not a doctor. Dr. Dev is a medical doctor, and I am very glad to have found him.

Dr. Dev is an amazing doctor. I am so grateful for him. I was severely depressed for 6 months. It was awful. In the beginning we worked through my issues. He would spend 45 min with me if he had too. I had to go him every week for about 2 months because the depression was so bad. He never complained.. He was there to help me get better. We tried a lot of different medicine. He never gave up on me. We finally found the right medicine and I am doing wonderful. I am out of the depression and I am back at work.

Good guy. Effective Psychiatric care - helped me a lot. He's thoroughly knowledgeable on symptoms, diagnosis, and medications.

Really don't understand the negative reviews on Dr. Dev. I was a little nervous to see him after reading some of these but I'm glad I went anyway. He was GREAT! Very thorough, very understanding, and listened to every word I said. He didn't seem to be in a rush or worried about getting me in and out and on to the next patient. I was in his office for at least 45 minutes while we went over all the issues with anxiety and depression that I have dealt with most of my life. He wanted to know all the specific details and seemed to genuinely care. He made sure the medicines he prescribed me would all work well together and warned me of any possible negative side effects. I'm 100% happy I did not listen to the other comments and will continue to see him. I was very pleasantly surprised.

Dr. Dev is somewhat misunderstood. His tone can sometimes come off a little bit sarcastic, but in reality this is just his personality. I was suffering a deep depression and anxiety and he worked through a lot of my issues with me individually. He has his own style and it is definitely stern, which can come off as uncaring, but its not the case. That sterness has propelled me to turn my life around and I owe all of that to him. I don't buy the "uncaring" either because he remembers me, my name, everything about me even though I only see him for a checkup every 4 months now. If you want to be babied and someone to say "bless your heart", definitely go and see a different doctor, but if you trust him he will help you in the right direction. Just remember with depression/anxiety - it takes a lot of effort from you as well. Its not easy. It can't be done by someone else. But you can do it.

I would highly recommend Dr. Dev. I have bipolar disorder and he treated me very well. He is caring and has a good sense of humor. He seemed very up to date with the latest knowledge in his field. I have recently moved and am no longer under his care and do miss having him as my physician. He is not very stuffy like some doctors, but very down-to-earth and concerned about getting you to your very best state of mental health.
