I have been a patient of Dr Herzig's for a good number of years with a procedure performed today. As in the past I found Gail and her entire staff to be highly professional, having great people skills, and performing all aspects of my procedure as expected. Great job!!!

I have been seeing Dr. Herzig for years. She and her staff are top rate. She listens well and gives great guidance. I trust her implicitly in all with all my family's gastrointestinal questions and medical needs. Shout outs to the outstanding nurses and anesthesia folks in the clinic.

I was fasting for a procedure at 1pm. I am diabetic. After waiting 90 minutes and going to the front desk to enquire, I was treated rudely and finally left without having the procedure. By 2:30 pm I was having low blood sugar symptoms and had a bad headache. This office is disorganized and rude.

I have had several colonoscopies with Dr. Herzig. What impressed me most with her is her ability to listen to her patients and come up with smart, creative and caring solutions to our problems.

I was suffering from a Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth SIBO, (which I did not know at the time) and went to Dr. Gail Herzig for severe stomach pains, IBS, acid reflux all within hours after I had a meal. I told her I thought it was SIBO from what I read and I wanted a hydrogen/methane breath test. She said that she did not believe in methane breath tests and said I needed to find another doctor to perform that test. She did all the traditional and expensive tests (hydrogen breath test, blood work, ultrasound and upper endoscopy) . This testing took over 6 months to complete and get results, all the while I was waking up at night in a fetal position because I had so much stomach pain. Towards the end of her testing I did find that "other" doctor to perform a methane breath test and sure enough I was off the charts with a Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO). I brought the results to Dr. Gail Herzig and again she said she did not recognize that testing and to come back in three months. The "other" doctor prescribe the appropriate antibiotics and within six weeks the pains subsided!!! Dr. Gail Herzig does NOT think out of the box....anyone can google "methane breath tests for SIBO" .....even a doctor! I suffered for six months with sooo much pain and spent money on unneeded testing... if she had only done the combined hydrogen/methane breath test at the beginning it would have saved money and suffering. Needless to say I have moved on to a more proactive GI doctor!
