List of Baystate Medical Practices- Quabbin Adult Medicine's Reviews
I'm a provider in the area and get my primary care at BMP. They are absolutely wonderful! I had worked for BMC for many years and found the management to be generally unpleasant. I'm pretty sure that the employees at BMP get lots of negativity from management. How they maintain such great attitudes is a wonder!
It’s great to find out from an unfriendly receptionist that there is a 10 minute grace period and when you arrive 12 minutes late, you are out of luck. Would it have been nice to be notified about the 10 minute late policy when you made the appointment? Absolutely! I’ve been a patient here for over 10 years and I don’t recall this policy. If this really is a policy, put it on your website.
I’ve been going to Quabbin Adult Medicine for approximately eight years now. Dr. Bartley is great when she remembers who I am. Recently, I’ve been treated for type II Diabetes and nobody in the office will do their jobs. Getting a CGM is impossible, obtaining the correct medication that will work is impossible, seeing a specialist is impossible. All because the Nurse, Courtney isn’t willing to make telephone calls. Apparently they have too many patients to “babysit” me or communicate instructions to my insurance company. I leave messages in the portal that go unanswered for weeks, or if a message is returned, it will only be halfway answered. This place has gone downhill terribly! They used to have great providers that communicated well and made sure you had what was needed.
I haven't had bad experiences with my PCP or the medical assistants. However, there's a lot of incompetence and tug of war when it comes to refilling "urgent" medicine requests. So much for urgency...you have to play wild goose chase to get what you need; nothing short of aggravating as heck. There are some MDs there who don't take some refills seriously, and when you are out of refills and need re-authorization, they drag their heels even though you require and depend on this medication for an actual condition that exists and affects your life. They either have a stigma against certain medications/conditions or just don't care to take the time. It's unethical to ignore people's medicinal needs. When my PCP is away, those who cover always give me the runaround about refills and I call 3-4 times to track down my refills. And I'm not the only one having this complaint. Totally unnecessary and avoidable. I'll change providers if this happens again.
Please do NOT bother with this place! As someone that's disabled, I currently need supplies all the time. The company that deals with my supplies among other health care specialists would send out a fax for Dr. Bartley to sign and didn't bother in taking care of that for me. I would call multiple times and leave messages through the portal and I never get a simple reply in return. I've also submitted a request so I can get a new wheelchair and she didn't bother fulfilling in doing anything about it as well. I had no other choice but to find another primary care because otherwise nothing will ever get done for me.
Place should be shut down.
Why does it seem like any office affiliated with Baystate is rude and inefficient?
terrible dr’s office…rude receptionists who roll their eyes at you for any questions the rudest one was the middle aged bleach blonde w raccoon eye makeup. its like pulling teeth to get any answers from them and u have to chase them down to get a follow up.
I was a patient of this practice for years. Then, due to an insurance change and their front office staff giving me incorrect information, I had to switch doctors for one year. Upon my desire to return, I was treated as a stranger. A brand new patient. Despite YEARS of history I had to wait four months for a “new patient exam.” I was able to book an emergency visit for pain in January and I misunderstood the date and showed up a day late - no one called me to remind me or even call to see where I was; no follow up whatsoever. When I showed up at the time I believed (the very next day), I was treated rudely and told “if you think you’re in that much pain, go to the ER. Otherwise we rebooked you in April.” April. Ok. Nothing before then? Nope. Nothing. Well, I did go to the ER - Holyoke Medical Center’s. I am now with another practice entirely. One that cares. Holyoke Medical Center in Chicopee. I have never seen such nice, caring staff from the front desk up to the doctors. I can’t recommend HMC enough. Don’t go to this Baystate facility. Trust me. I just had a lung biopsy done last week because HMC and their staff listened to me and cared when I said there was something wrong. Had I stuck with this place, who knows what would have happened. I got in right away with a PCP, pulmonologist, and a thoracic surgeon. Never again will I utilize Baystate. What a disappointment.
If you love medical malpractice then come to this location! Recently switched providers after being told I had no ear infection, the next day I go to urgent care and get told I have a serve ear infection and it was good I came in. Not to mention I got very ill off a medication they tried to give me, they tried to say it was covid (always testing myself and I was negative, and she didn’t even test me to confirm either!!) I called and complained and they said they would follow up with me, which resulted in them never calling me back. My provider was Dr. Bartley, I would at least try to avoid her. I go to granby raymond center and I highly recommend you leave this place if you can!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
