if you need mesh surgery, go somewhere else. 6 months after my first minor mesh repair i required a larger repair. got the same "oh you should be 2 days post op pain free". 4 months later the the unattached mesh poked a 4x6" hole in me, requiring major surgery at Lahey burlington from a Colo-retcal surgeon. Operated on by Dr Gill in Feb, 2017, I was treated very professionally and fully informed about the procedure and also the recovery period. I recommend him.
Minor surgery from Dr. Gill in his Peabody office; two incisions with internal sutures. Dr. Gill was friendly, took time to explain everything about the surgery and care needed afterwards. Scheduling an appointment was easy and straightforward, and his Surgical Assistant Christine is absolutely top-shelf, ensuring my comfort throughout the procedure while assisting Dr. Gill flawlessly.

I found Doctor Gill very professional, yet friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and sympathetic to my medical problem. His Nurse was exceptional and his staff very efficient and friendly. I have recommended him to my friends and family.
Listens , care and makes you feel at ease.
surgery seemed to go well, after a week I had horrible pains all around stomach and surgery area, after going to e.r. was told I was backed up and sent home to take more stool softeners. a week later still have pain and was told to take antacids. I asked him what about the pain and his response was what do you want me to do. How about doing a ultrasound I said to myself.
Went to the ER with stomach/back pain. Told ER who my GI specialist was. Instead, they have chief of surgery, who did not consult with my dr, take out my gallbladder. Bumped my surgery 5hrs. Sent me home 24 hrs later when I was still in horrible pain, although I "shouldn't be" according to him. He even argued with me about the hospital charging me if I "chose" to stay. Said to f/u in 2 wks. Called today, 5 days after surgery, and was told he is going to be AWAY for 2 weeks (meaning he won't be there), had to argue to get seen by someone sooner because I'm still in pain. I was treated like I was "bothering the staff" AND she hung up on me when I asked questions! I would NOT recommend this Dr who thinks so highly of himself to ANYONE. N/A for wait time, as I haven't even gotten there for f/u yet.
Had a surgical consult, Very knowledgeable and took time to explain the surgery and recovery. Wont comment on the follow ups as they have not happened yet. So far very happy
Office is clean. Scheduling an appointment was easy. Office staff are impatient and dismissive over the phone. They appear not to respect their patients. Dr. does not return call in adequate time. I Had a medical emergency and was told to schedule appointment with Dr. Gill once I was out of E.R. I called and explained to the office staff

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
