Was referred by my PCP. Saw Dr Hollis, looked at my X-ray and he said “good news no arthritis!” Exam,” I don’t know what’s wrong possibly a ligament tear.” “This may heal on its own.” Treatment -RICE . Called back in 2 weeks in pain cannot walk any distances. He couldn’t see me was in surgery for a week. I asked for a PT and anti inflammatory script. Long story short my knee gets worse. I finally see him again. “ You need an MRI “ I started crying at that point and I said how long until the MRI? “If they don’t call you by the end of the week call us back.” No call. So I got an appointment elsewhere in 2 days and was told I had most likely a torn meniscus and osteoarthritis in two areas— just by looking at the X ray and confirming exam. He gave me a cortisone shot and specific PT instructions. I’m finally getting relief and help.

Dr Hollis, Good afternoon! Thank you for taking such good care of me this morning! I apologize for being so emotional when you came into the examining room. Im just so discouraged with everything going on with my hip & back. Im not a person that takes being immobile for so long & having people do for me. I’m taking today’s appointment as on the rise to getting better soon. Hopefully this will soon be a nightmare. I highly recommend you to any family or friends. Thanks for being there. Alice

I met with Dr. Hollis for the first time with complaints of a very painful left knee. I found Dr. Hollis to be very professional & he listened closely to me. X-Rays were ordered & it was confirmed that I will probably require surgery sometime in the future but for now I opted for a cortisone inj. & feel good today. I would highly recommend Dr. Hollis to anyone. I was very pleased with his service. Excellent bedside manner. Maureen O'Brien-Hidalgo

Due to his incompetence and misdiagnosis, I suffered unnecessary complications and suffered MAJOR setbacks. Years later, I'm still far from 100%. I'm told that if I didn't seek care from another ortho when I did I likely wouldn't be able to walk at all at this point. Absolutely do not recommend. I'd say you'd be better served seeing a veterinarian but that would be an insult to that profession.

I cannot say enough about Dr.Hollis! He replaced both my knees(at the same time) and both my hips, with one hip needing the gludius maximus (sp) reattached. He is patient, caring, taking time with all your concerns. His bedside manner is excellent, and he makes sure you are receiving the best possible care. I have seen many people show alarm in their faces when I said I went to Beverly Hospital for my procedures. Dr Hollis is the BEST. It's been a few years now wth all my new joints, so happy!
