Dr Elliott misrepresented my baby’s eye care plan. Botched the surgery. Then mocked me when I expressed my disappointment at the post op visit.

Dr. Elliot skillfully removed our son's dermoid cyst through a small eye-lid incision. Swelling was almost non-existant. Couldn't be happier with the outcome.

Dr Elliot ruined my daughters eyes. They are uneven and look terrible. She had to try to fix them and made them worse. It is so sad she is a 16 year old girl. I now have to have them fixed again. She also did such a bad job the sling in one eye is falling only after 1 1/2 years. Just a horrible job.

Dr Elliott is the best thing that happened to my son and saved his eye. Not one surgical opthalogist in the state of Connecticut including pediatric (I literally went to every dr that would give me an appointment, almost 10) refused to do surgery for my infant son or wanted to wait until he was much older and the damage was done. Damage being permanent deformity and eventual blindness. She agreed to the surgery, with a silicon (new at the time) and he's 5 now, perfect sight. No one can tell his deformity, and may not need surgery again until 10 years old!! The first time we met, we didn't click, but I gave it time and she's been nothing but supportive. I work with kids and I know another parent whose child had a very difficult case. She saved his eye sight with cadaver skin. She is no joke. Please don't give up because of the negative review. It might save your child's sight.

I wouldn't know. They tried to convince me that I booked with the "booking line" at Children's but upon further review, I called directly to their department. They booked me an urgent appointment based on my daughters needs after checking with Dr. Elliot. I showed up today for the 3:15 appointment and we were told that we were not in her schedule at all. After I explained how this was booked and explained that we lived an hour away and that I moved my business trip for this appointment, the girl at the desk went and spoke with Dr. Elliot. She came back and said "Dr. Elliot would like you to come back Friday at 2pm"... I found this to be so incredibly rude. I understand that Dr. Elliot is supposed to be helping my daughter, but this does that mean that I should be inconvenienced by the mistake her office made. Furthermore, I dropped everything once for the appointment. Does she think that her time is more valuable than mine? Apparently she does.

My daughter was born with a coloboma ( left eye lid not completely closed). Dr. Elliot performed surgery on her eye at 6mths old. Today she is 10 and you would never know she was born with this condition. It was so scary to have to decide to have surgery at such a young age, but Dr. Elliott literally held our hand in the waiting room and made us feel so comfortable. Not only is she a gifted surgeon, but her bedside manner is top notch. You can tell she is a mom. Her eye is perfect!

Dr Elliot rushed my wife and I through 2 separate appointments for my infant son's eye issue. She completely misdiagnosed my son's condition. She not only misdiagnosed the problem, she focused on the wrong eye!!! As an Ophthalmologist at Children's Hospital, how does that happen? When we tried contacting her and she was wasn't available and was standoffish about having to call us back stating "I typically never take calls on this line". We always felt rushed and nothing was ever explained to us in detail even when we asked pointed questions. She prescribed my 5 month old son a pair of high prescription glasses and we come to find out 2 months later after a second opinion at Newton - Wellesley Hospital that he has a condition called Duane's Syndrome and the glasses weren't necessary. I would avoid this practice at all costs. It's sad but I think that Children's may be too big of an institution these days to really take the time to be a truly caring and reliable hospital. Look elsewhere

We had seen 4 doctors for our daughter's condition prior to seeing Dr. Elliot - she was the first to actually have experience treating her condition, was able to explain it in detail & layman's terms, and was thorough. I actually was surprised at the length of time she took with us - compared to the previous 4 doctors that were clueless and rushed us through. I am recommending Dr. Elliot to anyone with pediatric eye issues.
