To sum it up I have been a patient at BIDMC since the age of twenty three (23) years old I am now seventy eight years old. I love the care that I have received over the years. There was one issue which I don't care to speak of because all in all they're still the best.

I was sent by ambulance from Anna Jaques hospital (who BTW were very attentive and got on things right away. ) to the Beth Israel Deaconess ER for a possible brain bleed. When I got there there were about 12 different doctors and nurses around me. They said they weren't so sure it was a brain bleed, so they were going to do their own tests. Which is what should be done. Long story short. after 13 hours of being there, CT Scan, MRI and blood work a nurse came in and started taking out my iv's and said I was ready to go home. The neurologist that ordered the tests never came in to talk to me. We told this to the nurse and she got the ER doctor. He said just what he was told. No brain bleed. Great, but what possibly was it that caused my issues? What should I do? What should I watch out for? No answers!! They wanted me to make an appt with the neurologist in boston within 5 days. REALLY?? Don't think so!!! We also had no way home seeing how we came by ambulance. They told us, take a taxi or Uber. Home is an hour away. Never took an Uber. Do you pay in cash or debit?? We didnt have cash. Not to mention it was 4:00 in the morning. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS HOSPITAL!!!

My husband got Sepsi from a biopsy under the "care" of Dr Mandeep...the sepsi cancelled out any options for his care management and therfore he passed rather quickly. I never heard from the doctor other than one quick call after the biopsy and before we knew he had contracted it. I Never heard from the doctor after this biopsy, during his sickness or his death. When I asked to speak to him after my husands death I was told that my husband was no longer under Dr. Mandeep's care and therefor he did not feel the need or obligation to speak to me. So much for their hypicratic oath... I will never be ok with this or trust them again. Beware
