Doctor Alkire is a very good doctor. He feels very kind and has no sense of distance. This doctor will be successful in his career. He very patiently listening to patients explaining symptoms, analyzing the cause and treatment methods for tonsillitis infection. Response quickly patient message by himself. Not the assistant response. When I sign for agreement for tonsils remove. I complete trust such a good doctor. I can feel he care his patients. When I found out that I was Thyroid disease for the first sufffering and I feel helpless. The only person who could help me was the doctor. Sometimes I might worry too much if I didn’t receive the call from ultrasound report. The pain of illness can make a person anxious at times. I just want to have some doctors please understand the feelings of our patients. I know remove tonsil will decrease my pain and help much for me fight for thyroid disease. I m willing to remove the tonsils. But sometimes is hard to make a decision for some surgery you know is not help you too much and will increases much more painful because you already suffering by thyroid disease. Doctor should know is this surgery really need it or not. Is really help patient? If patient refuse for surgery because he know the results will not getting better. What the doctor will do the next for patients. If the student not listen to teacher, the teacher will mad. right? The patient alway fighting for those decisions. One side patient need help. other side you know if refuse their offer, they maybe mad. Not all people the same, but some I see they will mad. Any profession has good and bad aspects, just like there must be bad and good people in this world. Some people have served the country, some people choose to be a doctor to help others, but when they are old and frail, or they are sick. I also hope that the younger generation can help them patiently. No matter what profession, no matter who, you will meet good and some negative people. I am very happy to meet Doctor Alkire such a warm and kind doctor.

I found the office setting comfortable, reception staff and intake staff communicative and friendly. Dr. Alkire is a professional, compassionate listener; made sure I understood the question asked in a way that made sure we were on the same page talking about the same thing. He treated my support person with respect and talked to her directly. He was diligent, went to consult others when needed about tests I brought, explained what and why he did that and gave me an framework of what I had and how he would go about treating it. Clear about possible side effects of medication, length and why and what other tests needed and how they fit into the full picture of my care. I left feeling listened to and treated as a person, not a case. I am relieved I am in his patient and am confident in his skills. I also am making sure my primary care in Western MA knows of him and this practice.

An amazing and caring doctor that solved my lifelong eczema issues with my ears. I really respect his knowledge and he has the best bed side manner. So comforting! If you are looking for a super star ENT doctor, Dr Alkire is the one!

I was very scared to get a tonsillectomy. My insurance was expiring and my mom was pushing me to get this done as I have been suffering from many infections every year. The procedure itself was painless. Doctor Alkire is very knowledgable and kind. Recovery so far has been a breeze despite what others have said about the recovery process. Thank you Dr. Alkire! Dr. Alkire is one of the most thorough, patient, curious and skilled doctor's I've ever been to. Unlike many doctors who just want to get you in and out, he takes the time to listen, to explore, to test, to explain, and to answer all questions in a way that's very clear and easy for the patient to understand.
