List of Claudia Richter's Reviews
She was professional, helpful and did a great job on my cataracts. I highly recommend her.
I have been Dr. Richter's patient for more than a decade. She is a phenomenal ophthalmologist in that I place my trust in her with one of my most precious gifts - my eyes. I've had multiple eye surgeries and treatments. Because of her skills, knowledge, and expertise, my eyes function very well. I feel fortunate having her as my ophthalmologist. Also, her practice runs efficiently. For these reasons and many others, I highly recommend her.
patient beware. if you have any other options, please go elsewhere. Dr. Richter was negligent and misdiagnosed my mother's very serious condition. on top of that, her bedside manner leaves much to be desired. she lacks remorse and accountability. seriously - look elsewhere. This is not to dismiss the staff, however, as I hear that the staff is quite friendly, competent.
I have been using Dr. Richter for a number of years. Last year when I saw her I found out the reason for the eye pain I had been experiencing. I had glaucoma. I was immediately scheduled for surgery. Dr. Richter has wonderful "bedside manner' and walked me through the surgery and the recovery plan. Everything went exactly as she had told me. I would highly recommend her.
Completely stress free.
Dr. Richter has been very good with me. My eye sight has been in the high 20's. I am now down in the 11's. She has been very helpful to me. When I had a problem on a Friday late she stayed until I got there instead of referring me to one of her associate. I thought that was very nice of her. I wish there were many more Doctors like her. I have had both my eyes operated on within 3 months apart and doing very good now.
Dr. Richter is a nice doctor with a polite staff, however, I believe that she was not comfortable treating my particular strain of glaucoma, because the disease has damaged one of my eyes (in spite of seeing her at least eleven times over the course of almost two years and faithfully taking each and every one of the eye drops that she prescribed). This past summer, I finally flunked the vision field test for one of my eyes. When I asked her if I should be concerned, she said that it was her job to be concerned. That didn't placate me at all. With no change to my treatment, she sent me on my merry way and said "see you in three months." Since that time, I've changed doctors, only to find out that one of my eyes has sustained damage from the disease and that the medicine that I've been taking for almost two years really didn't do much to decrease the eye pressure because apparently, they've been consistently high (unbeknownst to me). It has been my experience that a change to your sight is subtle. You don't notice the loss of vision right away. Recently, I've noticed a haze over the more diseased eye when I close the other. Vision is precious, a gift from God. At my age, I shouldn't have lost any vision, not when I took my condition as seriously as I did. I was vigilant with my appointments and my regime of eye drops. I've still lost some sight. Needless to say, I cannot recommend this doctor for my particular condition. If you have Krukenberg Spindles, you owe it to yourself to go to the best doctor that money or insurance will buy. Hey, theyâ??re your eyes! If you flunk a vision test and you ask if should be concerned, your doctor shouldn't say "that's my job." Will it be her job to donate one of her eyes to you if you go blind in one of them? I only pray that I made the switch to a new doctor in time.
Keeps track of patients. Excellent surgeon. Very satisfied with quality of care from this doctor.
I have used Dr. Rickter for 10 years and gone for a yearly visit with no change in my eyesight status. I didn't question this until I saw that after going thru the Assembly Line of tests - the cost was $500.00. This year I asked for just a Glaucoma test which was what I was being monitored for. Dr. Rickter told me that unless I took the Assembly Line of tests she couldn't check me for Glaucoma even though it had only been 13 months since I last went thru the "Line". I refused and she refused to examine me. I would never recommend Dr. Rickter to anyone who had any concern over healthcare costs. In my opinion she is a disgrace to the profession.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
