He did laser surgery for Macular degeneration causing scar tissue. My left eye is permanently scared. This happened 11 years ago. My brother recently went to him also for Macular degeneration treatment, also laser. Dr Reichel hit a blood vessel bursting it causing permanent damage. Please people do your research. Do not go to this ophthalmologist. Go to Mass Eye and Ear.

This is the best, most caring doctor I've ever had and I'm 73. Dr. Reichel has been my eye doctor for over 20 years. I credit him with saving my remaining eyesight 10 years ago when he rushed me to surgery Thanksgiving weekend 12 years ago. I see him every 6 months. The BEST!!
