From my opinion I do not recommend anyone seeing this doctor due to do an cornial lasics surgery I got a massive infection This doctor was not helpful at all please do your research before you see any doctor especially this doctor.

My daughter had a rare eye condition which required us to consult with the top specialists in Boston, Philadelphia and Miami. We settled on Dr Duker who was amazing and saved my daughter’s eye sight. We firmly believe he is the best in the country and has a great patient manner to compliment his expertise.

he permenantly scarred my retina with a procedure that he assured me was very safe and then he avoided me . I would say stay as far away from him as you can.

I am a very nervous but compliment Diabetic . Been dealing with Diabetic Retinopathy NPDR for the better part of 20 years ( 37 year T1 diabetic) I have gone to many eye drs. Went to Beetham for most of my life, seen some of the best out there... but needed someone with better bedside manner, who treated the patient as the whole person... someone who did not feel cold with clinical responses only. Duker was suggested by my GP/Internist almost 5 years ago. I have never regretted that choice or desired to see anyone else. Duker knows my fearful personality and has the patience to talk me through my concerns. He is dedicated and nothing seems to worry him. His confidence transfers to the patient and I am happy to call him my Dr, but also someone I respect as a person. There really is not anyone better out there.

Very knowledgeable, very smart, very clear in his explanations, very reassuring. A top expert in his field, and a nice guy to talk with. It can take a while to schedule an appointment with him because he's a busy man -- Tufts professor, researcher, surgeon, entrepreneur -- but it's worth it.

I have seen most of the best ophthalmologists in Boston, including the most obnoxious C Stephen Foster. Dr Duker tops them all. Busy? Yes. Smart? Yes. He gets things done and responds very well when you grab him and be straight with what you need from him.

I have been a patient of Dr. Duker's for two years. He is #1 in his field. He takes the time with you during your visit and tells you what is going on and how he will take care of your illness. I went to him for a second opinion and didn't think twice about making him my doctor.

Dr. Duker made an accurate diagnosis of my problem but fell short when it came to being proactive about dealing with the symptoms of the treatment. His extremely conservative approach does not take advantage of available technology in the field of eye care. I did not receive accurate information concerning the possibility of a biopsy and thus missed the opportunity to be informed of my risk of systemic metastasis. This doctor seems to prefer patients who like the parental approach. He does not like to be questioned and can become quite nasty if a patient does not completely accept his judgment. I would recommend Dr. Duker for making an initial diagnosis, but would suggest that the patient transfer to someone else for follow-up care.
