List of Mami Iwamoto's Reviews
Most insulting experience I ever had with any professional doctor ever made no eye contact whatsoever and would never go back to her made me feel like I would never go back there her credentials do not fit her profile!!
She was unkind, downright rude, dismissive of my significant pain and discomfort, and entirely unhelpful - offering no suggestions to help my eye issues. If I had not had to pay the $200 consultation fee when I checked-in, or driven 2 hours to see her, I would have walked out. I’ve never in 50+ years experienced such an unpleasant, unhelpful doctor.
She was delightful , thorough, explained results well and I highly recommend her! Excellent doctor!
She is the best!
I just have been seen by Dr. Mami Iwamoro. What a wonderful experience. She is warm, no rash appointment, funny and real. Highly recommend her.
Just trying to prevent someone from wasting their time like I did... I drove an hour and some to see her based on her good reviews.. she spent 15 minutes with me max (they told me to plan for an hour of eye tests etc) she dismissed anything I attempted to say and combatively argued against my symptoms (it's my eye I think i know what it feels like) she kept denying my clear ptosis that everyone has been questioning me about as it's been so rapid.. I seriously look like a stroke patient in my twenties and she's telling me it's not that bad and that it can't be affecting my vision.. she then suggested I have a glaucoma test and that reading glasses would fix my vision... yeah my lid is covering 80% of my eye but let me get a glaucoma test and glasses that'll fix the problem.. horrific.. I told her several times when I take the same reading test she is using to assess my vision that when I hold my lid open I can read it perfectly, SHE LITERALLY LAUGHED AND SAID NO CAN'T BE... the meeting ended with her asking if I was happy with her plan (reading glasses and glaucoma test for someone in their 20s) and as I was about to respond she cut me off and went "Cause that's what the plan is going to be, good now let me walk you out"... insane.
drove over an hour to have a 15 minute session that included her just putting drops in my eyes and re-checking the pressure which her assistant already did prior to that... She didn't listen to anything I said just laughed it over and breezed through it to keep insisting I needed glasses which I've been checked for 100 times and don't... any doctor who relies on the letter reading test to assess your vision fully just... run... I am suffering from my lid covering my vision badly, to the point that people think I had a stroke or something because one lid is severely smaller than the other and this lady wants to tell me there's no way a droopy lid can affect visual field... left the office with no type of answer and she kept brushing me off even until the end she asked if i was happy with the plan she had which was to be checked for glaucoma (i'm in my twenties) and as I was about to respond she cut me off and went "Cause that's what the plan is going to be, good now let me walk you out"
Dr. Iwamoto is amazing. I had a birthmark under my eye for 18 years that had people asking if I had a black eye or smudged makeup. Not only did Dr. Iwamoto remove this birthmark for me, but there is not even a scar or evidence it was ever there.
She is a fantastic doctor!!! She takes the time to talk and explain the procedure being done. She goes above and beyond to answer all your questions!!!! You will be in good hands!!
I am so grateful to have crossed path with doctor Iwamoto. After two unsuccessful surgeries with a different plastic surgeon I went to doctor Iwamoto and she not only fixed the eyelid issue caused by the first two surgeries she made my eyes perfect! She is a miracle surgeon I love her !!! Thank you thank you. She brought tears of joy in my face xoxo Neda kalhori Reed. Highly recommend her

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
