I checked in for my appointment and asked if the doctor was running behind. “Not bad”. I had an 11:00 a.m. appointment and was taken back by the Tech relatively quickly, then proceeded to wait……with several other patients. I asked several times how much longer and no one could tell me. A front desk staff member told me “you have to expect to wait at least 1 1/2 hour for a Specialist”. Well I worked for an Ophthalmologist who never had a patient wait more than 15 minutes. At 12:40, I left since there was still a patient who had a 10:45. I worked as a Manager in a Physician's practice for years and know full well this is simply caused by over-booking in order to make a profit. Sincerely, Unhappy patient

Dr. Dacey is very thorough, kind and explains things very well. He has set my mind at ease after every visit.

I've seen many retina specialists over the yrs. In my experience/opinion, the office atmosphere here is rude, the medical provider arrogant, the staff indifferent to quality of patient care and the administration is behind the times (can't download forms such as new patient nor records release forms). They make it atypically and unnecessarily difficult. It's an old school, high-volume practice.

Longest appointment duration for an exam that I've had many times by nationally recognized retina specialists in a fraction of the time. No apologies so I presume it's a standard. Clinic is handsome aesthetically. The experience was a generally disrespectful process. Patients are numbers. Won't return.

Mark Dacey is terrible physician with minimal experience. He said all other doctors were wrong, with no explanation why. Informed consent is a joke to him. I nearly died from med he should have never prescribed with my documented medical history. He refused to speak to ER dr about life threatening complications that resulted. 4 doctors say his actions caused preventable vision loss now permanent and almost total blindness. I had 20/40 vision before. other doctors tried to pick of the pieces from Dacey's haphazard treatment and get records, he was so rude he made 3 nurses at 3 different clinics CRY! Dacey is under investigation by several regulatory agencies. The university hospital and Rocky Mountain eye center both have much better physicians. If you take the risk to put your care in the hands of this doctor, expect to wait two to three hours before your name is called. Many patients get frustrated with the excessive wait times and leave.

Dr. Dacey is superb, both technically and in his ability to explain clearly in terms understandable to me exactly what is going on, and the risks/benefits of treatment options. Eye Health Services has an excellent staff of opthalamologists. Being one of only three retina specialists in the practice, he is in constant demand, and with retina service come many emergencies, so they can't always run right on time. This is totally understandable and acceptable, as they are outstanding about getting retina patients in quickly that are experiencing new symptons. We are truly fortunate to have such an outstanding retinal specialist serve the South Shore community.
