List of Mass General Brigham's Reviews
Their psychiatry department is one of the most horribly managed outpatient practices I've seen. You'll spend lengthy times on the phone trying to reach reception and they don't respond to voicemails. I've rescheduled the same appointment 3 times, have had my appointment cancelled 2 hours before it was scheduled, and cannot get the follow-up care I've been attempting for the last 4 months. Other outpatient departments within BWH experience similar scheduling and communication difficulties. Find outpatient care at another facility, because you will not get the care here.
I went to Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital for ENT and had an appointment. I had a referral and I have a PPO and visited November, 2021 to check my sinuses. I had allergy issues and headaches. Unbeknownst to me, the doctor charged me for an endoscopy which was marked for insurance purposes as a surgery. When I received the bill, I was charged almost full price which is almost $900. even though I was not informed that it would be this exorbitant amount. The doctor asked if she could look up my nose with this device, she did, it took a few seconds, and then she was done. At no time did she state that it would be an extra item on the receipt or that she would mark it as "surgery." Not only that, but now, I am receiving the bill from the hospital and, after multiple communications about this to the billing department, they refuse to correct their mistake and instead ask me to call the insurance company. I have contacted the insurance company but it was not their mistake that the hospital overcharged me. I am extremely frustrated and will be finding a new medical group.
Wanted a second opinion of my cancer diagnosis. Received an unintelligible short response from Cyrilla with two long quotes attached to the email from Martin Luther King Jr. and Harriet Tubman. Is POSO providing cancer second opinions or civil rights information? I have a great deal of respect for both these civil rights activists, however they have no business in an email regarding a second opinion request for cancer diagnosis. The email was written by Cyrilla. Someone ought to give this person a lesson in appropriate email correspondence with those seeking second opinions for cancer diagnosis. Her emails are not the place for any long quotes supposedly attributed to these great activists. Bizarre to say the least, unprofessional at best. I would avoid POSO at Mass General Brigham until they can hire some mature professionals who are there to help patients, not satisfy their own political agendas.
I came here yesterday because I had vomiting diarrhea and fever. I was told that I had gastrointestinal & the symptoms last for a day or 2 The doctors that worked with me was really helpful. Patient with me and understanding. I use to be a patient with mass general Brigham years ago. & I will be switching back I don’t know why I left in the first place I would like to give a shout-out to the EMT that helped me and the doctors you guys truly are the best. You guys saved my life. Mass general brigram I love you guys
I delivered my baby here in March and I would not choose to deliver another child here due to a few reasons. The nurses in triage were great, no complaints there. Also, no complaints with my delivering nurse Renee Duffee - she was AMAZING (honestly Renee was the best part of the experience). My issue came with some of the nurses after my baby was born.I felt some of the nurses after labor lacked empathy and compassion, and came off quite dismissive and cold. I was completely exhausted after my baby was born (as I’m sure most women are), but also because I was in and out of the hospital for 6 days prior during the induction process. To say that my brain was mush after labor was an understatement. My partner (boyfriend) was with me and stayed with me while we were recovering. Throughout the course of our stay he had several questions for the nurses pertaining to caring for our son. It was unbelievable how dismissive the nurses were of his questions and in some cases acted as if they were stupid or unnecessary. Many of the nurses did not address my boyfriend at all and acted as if he was not there, and would look to me when answering his questions. This was not helpful because I was really incapable of processing much information at the time and my boyfriend was there as my advocate (and also as the second parent!). I felt that some of the nurses were judging my partner and this made me feel very uncomfortable especially during an extremely vulnerable time as a new mom figuring out how to care for a newborn. My boyfriend is Hispanic and I hate to think it but can’t help but think that perhaps there was some racial undertones going on with some of the nurses. The lactation consultants were also not helpful at all as each one had different or contradicting advice from the prior consultant. It’s very unfortunate because everything and everyone leading up to my son being born was great!
This was my 3rd and final time at this hospital. I was seen in the emergency room by a pompous alpha male Resident. He referred to my condition as “run of the mill” even though it has been ongoing for 4 months and I have been hospitalized 4x (at a different hospital) and have been advised that I now require surgery. The Attending could not be bother to speak with me directly. I left and will continue my care elsewhere. I went there because it is a bigger hospitals with surgeons that specialize in my condition. The arrogance left me feeling like they do not listen to the patient. That is not best practice.
Since my Wife started seeing Courtney Deban, Her Mental health has only declined. This Tiny Bopper has chosen to do only as She pleases and NOT what is in the best interest of her Patient. My Wife only started seeing this person so that her current treatment plan and medication was continued with proper continuity. She has been Trying to make my wife jump through Unnecessary hoops because she chose to change my wife's medications Without consent, agreement or approval of any kind.THIS "DOCTOR" SHOULD BE UNDER REVIEW OF THE MEDICAL LICENSING BOARD FOR HER UNACCEPTABLE AND DANGEROUS TREATMENT PRACTICES.
I have been a patient of Brigham and Women’s Hospital for more than 20 years. Dr.Authur Foster Little in Urology by far is the most patient caring and attentive doctor that I’ve had thus far . He made me feel very comfortable and assured me that my procedure would be fine . Thank you Brigham and Women’s , for restoring my faith in Exceptional Care .
I have been a patient of B&W’s since 2004. From day #1 until present, the care I receive is unsurpassed!I could easily access hospitals much closer to me. But my monthly trips to Boston are well worth it. I feel valued, & have never been made to feel like a bother. On the contrary. If one has to be a patient, regardless of the issue, B&W’s is the hospital they should choose. So happy I did.
My mother had to stay about five days.( she was in cardiology shapiro) Most of the time staff is great usually reason why the 3 stars, but I feel like doctors could do a lot more to communicate with patients whether a procedure is going to be delayed instead of waiting 1-3 hours after to inform the patient that there’s a delay or they’re going to postpone a procedure. Especially if you’re going to have them not eat majority of the day and try to wave them off like you don’t care and expect them to happy about the lack of communication. I completely understand if you’re not fully staffed but if you’re able to call the ones doing the procedure about the status, then you can give 5min to let the patient know. Another feedback, make sure the room is clean. The toilet had crusty fecal matter that must have been there for over a week and the person doing the cleaning having a bad attitude quickly checking the bathroom and asking what’s the issue and trying to blame the morning person (HELLO YOU WERE THE MORNING PERSON) How about doing a thorough check? It’s a hospital, there’s no excuse for a poor job cleaning.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
