Would be 5 stars if his assistant Agina would call people back. Being someone who has gone through cancer treatments and multiple surgeries to only have your follow up calls be ignored is frustrating, the more I wait for the a call back the longer I wait in pain and discomfort. Once the cancer was removed I feel I was down graded to a patient who deserves little to no attention as this is what no calls backs to all my messages says to me.Dr. Bleday is incredible but also only as good as the staff you surround yourself with. Can someone call me back?????

Performed a right hemicolectomy on me. I had complications afterwards and he was very good at keeping track of me after I left the hospital.

Had surgery and colonoscopy. Procedure seemed to go fine but oddly never received any post-op check-in as I would have expected. In addition, never received any results on colonoscopy but figured perhaps intent was to discuss 4 weeks post surgery at check-up...instead check was cancelled and earliest reschedule was 1 month later (2 mos post surgery). Morning of I called & left vm with his office to confirm that mornings apt whereas I never received any reminder call (again thought that was odd). I got a call back within 20 mins confirming apt only to show up and be told they had me down 2 hrs earlier. They had me wait 50 mins only to tell me he was refusing to see me "couldn't squeeze me in" and I would have to make another appointment but if I wanted, I could email a picture of my ANUS!!! for him to review and determine if surgery was a success. -NO RESPECT FOR MY TIME 3 hours of my day wasted. THIS GUY HAS AN OBVIOUS GOD COMPLEX.

Dr. Bleday is nothing short of amazing!!! I would recommend him to anyone 5 out of 5 stars. I had cancer he saved my life I'm so grateful he chose this profession. His staff needs work though. The main girl was very rude , did not return phone calls and very bad attitude. This review based on the Dr. himself I say go he's amazing!! A Mass General dr. I saw would have left me with a bag wanted to take too much colon. My cancer was very low but because Dr. Bleday spares the colon I did not thank god need a bag . I definitely made the right choice. He's very pleasant , does great work, just don't expect to see him right after surgery until follow up appt. he's in high demand but if that's the thing you want then go to another doctor. I'm still here and very happy with him as my doctor!! Hope this helps...

Dr. Bleday and the team at Dana Farber saved my life in 2006. I was diagnosed with Stage IV rectal cancer after seeing two primary care physicians (one I had for 17 years, one was brand new) who told me I had hemorrhoids and not to worry! Dr. Bleday arranged to meet me for an initial appointment at 8am, fitting me in so that my care could be expedited. He was thorough, never rushed, realistic but encouraging. Kind visits after surgery. He loves his work! I am grateful that he was my surgeon.
