South End Eye's Online Review Report Card

I recently had my first appointment at South end eye the other day and it was by far the best experience I've had at an eye appointment. Everyone was so nice and professional and even fun! I will be going to South end eye from now on!

The best service I have ever had in terms of eye appointments. Very attentive and extremely helpful when it comes to picking out the perfect frames! The appointment was thorough and the Doctor explained everything he was doing and why. Definitely felt like I got my moneys worth. Front desk staff is beyond amazing and makes you feel very comfortable and confident in your new frames. Will never go anywhere else!!!

I have received eye care here and also purchased a high quality pair of prescription glasses. The staff are very professional and accommodating. The woman who worked with me to purchase my glasses was patient as I tried on many different styles and was not pushy in the least. More recently, South End Eye helped me with the fit of a pair of sunglasses. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a new eye doctor, pair of lenses, or both!

This is the best and most thorough place to go get your eyes checked! They can do everything in house and quickly - exam, lenses, and frames. Mary (the owner), Phal, and Martha are some of the friendliest people you'll ever meet and make the place very inviting. I will never go anywhere else to get my eyes checked! 10/10 recommend.

I had my exam and fitting for my third pair of glasses from these folks last week. I've never had a more thorough and friendly experience getting eyewear before. Not only is the customer service exceptional, but their selection of frames and styles is far beyond any national chain I've been to before. They have something to fit any persons style and aesthetic, but more than that, the glasses will actually fit your face comfortably. I've referred several of my friends and colleagues to South End Eye so far, and none of their experiences have been anything short of stellar. I cannot recommend this place enough. If you need an exam, frames, or contact lenses please consider supporting this local small business that is miles ahead of any competition.

I went in for an eye Exam and the sales people had me picking out glasses before the appointment had even happened. None of the frames had prices on them and staff was not upfront about any costs. At checkout I was clearly uncomfortable with the price and asking questions about less expensive frames, and they continued to insist. I wasn't given a copy of my prescription and was made to feel that the only way I would get my prescription is by purchasing glasses. When I tried to cancel the order, I was given the run around and they refused to give me a full refund despite no return policy being outlined anywhere. Horrible experience and exuberantly overpriced. I was able to get both my prescriptions with frames for less then they were charging me a pair of lenses.

Horrible experience! Not recommend at all! I had eye examination at doctor Darryl Grace. Doctor Darryl charged me $125, it’s okay. But south end eye owner charged me extra $45 for “optomap”!!! Why?!!!

Exam started fine, though as soon as I said I wouldn't be buying glasses there the doctor rushed me back upstairs because she had another appointment. Paper prescription they gave me didn't even have the right address for me on there. A friend of mine also came here separately, she ordered contacts -- they didn't tell her when the lenses would come in so she just waited and waited; then they dragged out shipping them to her even though she offered to pay.

I went to South End Eye last night and I cannot say enough good things about my experience. The customer service was perfection, with the right amount of attention, guidance, information, but never feeling pushy or like I had any pressure to make a decision or buy. The glasses selection was amazing and I found so many pairs that I loved (very unique collection without). I legitimately had so much fun and left the store happier than when I went in. I had shopped a few other place before this, and my recommendation is to start here, you will not regret it!
