List of Stanley W. Ashley's Reviews
Had surgery from Dr. Stanley Ashley , l'm very sorry that l did. It was terrible, afterwards I was left in so much pain. He cut my chest and the inside of my left leg, it was a disaster. When l returned home the incision on my left leg was badly bruised, the skin was all bunched up, and I could see and feel many hard lumps. Before the surgery I started out with just a small cyst without any pain, now l can't walk, stay dressed, or even cross my legs without difficulty. When he left the operating room he didn't explain anything and said that l wouldn't even need a follow-up, the assistant said that l would only need Tylenol for the pain, luckily l happened to have some Tramodol at home from a former surgical procedure and even that didn't touch the pain. l thought that l was on my way to the emergency room also, because the incision on my leg opened up and started to bleed. I'm seeing another General Surgeon now, l will never return to this former one.

Dr Ashley performed surgery on me for rectal cancer in 2013. To this day I believe he saved my life. Dr Ashley is an example of all the good things that are still in medicine. He is my hero.
He performed a hernia repair o me which I realized pretty quickly was not successful. I returned to him only to have him reassure me that I was feeling the mesh. I returned again a few months later, and this he said it was scar tissue. I got a second and a third opinion and it is definitely an improperly repaired hernia. He used a hernia plug instead of a mesh. He couldn't be more cavalier.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
