Thomas Barber's Online Review Report Card

Dr Barber has been my physician for many years now.He is the most kind, knowledgable and attentive physician I could ask for. As a nurse I can appreciate good medical attention and Dr. Barber brings it all on. I am blessed to have him as my PCP.

Dr Barber is the most knowledgeable, caring, thoughtful primary care doctor I have ever come across. He listens to the patient, and truly does what is their best interest. I have a rare condition, and Dr. Barber has become a true expert in my disease. He is empathetic, and really wants to help. A credit to the medical profession

Dr. Barber was my primary care. In 2012 every appointment I would address debilitating brain pain/ pressure. He dismissed my symptoms as a "migraine or clenching my jaw too tight, etc" Literally anything and everything to dismiss it as a nonissue. On multiple visits I pleaded vigorously for an MRI or Catscan. I literally begged because i knew something was seriously wrong. His response"That's an expensive test for someone your age" After 7 years of being dismissed by Dr. Barber another Dr. from

On multiple visits I pleaded vigorously for an MRI or Catscan. I literally begged because i knew something was seriously wrong. His response"That's an expensive test for someone your age" After 7 years of being dismissed by Dr. Barber another Dr. from Massachusetts General Hospital in the Otolaryngologist department ordered a Brain MRI due to hearing loss. The MRI showed a large brain cyst, as well as prior trauma or infection among other serious issues. The brain cyst explains symptoms i have been having since 2012 when i first brought them to the attention of Doctor Barber. But for 7 years no matter how much I begged him for an MRI or Catscan to find out what was going on he refused every time. Had he ordered it i would have found out about my brain cyst and other issues 6 years sooner. Dr. Barber has never been anything but dismissive to my health problems and symptoms and basically all I ever felt was rushed out the door after seeing him. Had I put my trust in another Doctor my health would be in much better shape today.

One of the best doctors I've ever had. Unlike some doctors, he actually listens to patients and prescribes what the patient needs, not what happens to be "trendy". Whenever another doctor suggests something for me, I always hold off any decisions until I can speak to him. He would be my choice for primary care physician, if I lived closer.
