Dr Al-Hertani is responsive, kind, and responsive. I felt not only listened to, but heard. She's compassionate and thorough, and gives me confidence that she will get to the bottom of my child's concerns.

I went to her desperate for help to find answers for my son on why he was having unusual medical symptoms. Many other specialists my son sees recommended we send him to a geneticist, to get answers. Yet, during the appointment she had a an alarming lack of concern for him, and a general confusion about why we had an appointment. She blamed all of his medical problems on him having Trisomy21 even though other doctors that my son sees disagree. She then “consulted” with the DS Clinic for advice and claims they told her my sons health was all Trisomy21 related, but I highly doubt that is correct. She is a geneticist and advised against genetic testing! She said she goes to bat for her patients but we certainly did not have that experience. Find another geneticist, one who listens, one who will work with you as part of a team. I am so highly disappointed by our experience and the medical gaslighting which continues to be a theme amongst the BCH healthcare system.
