A excellent and superb doctor for motility disorders and evaluating tests. Not good with bedside manner, responding to questions, hands on testing/evaluating, and he will never respond to email or hospital portal communication. No follow up. Patients need to be good at self care.

Very versed in SIBO and associated motility disorders. Very thorough, spends quality time, knowledgeable and an absolute delight to have as my doc. You won’t be disappointed. Dr. Chan is the best.

Never returned calls or correspondence on the portal. Very disappointing.

Dr. Chan does not listen to patients. He orders many tests and relies solely on test result but does not listen to patient symptoms. Poor bedside manner and does not care at all about quality of life. has his protocol and will not deviate from it. won't discuss other options for treatment. Long wait to get appointment even when you are an established patient. I've been in severe pain and called for an appointment I am not a new patient and was told there is a 4 month wait to see him. He never returns corresponds to calls. One time the pain was so severe I was hospitalized at a local hospital. The doctor tried to contact him and got no response from him. Doctor said its unheard to have no physician to physician response. Another time I went to Faulkner Hospital. He sees patients there. It took six days for him to respond to the doctors there. I feel Dr. Chan does not care care about his patients. He has no time for his current patients yet is accepting new patients.

I've seen a number of GI Doctors over the last 5 years, in an attempt to get to the bottom of my bothersome digestive disorder, which nobody seems to be able to accurately diagnose or treat. Finally. Dr, Chan has identified the problem and recommended the treatment. What a terrific man. Dr. Chan is insightful, through, patient and explanatory. I am really pleased to have found him to be my Physician.
