Barely addresses my parents concerns

I had an appt with Dr Ruan in October for an EKG in his Kneeland St office. I haven't seen any other cardiologists before, but I thought he was patient with answering my many questions and seemed to be very thorough and knowledgeable.

Dr. Ruan was very knowledgeable and thorough with my concerns.

I am posting this review for my father-in-law, who doesn't speak English. Dr. Ruan is his cardiologist since 2018. We found Dr. Ruan very kind and patient. Dr. Ruan not only treats his heart condition, but also answers all his questions (many not related to cardiology) patiently and always responds to his phone calls or requests. His nurse/assistant Ms. Li (Lee?) is really kind and efficient too. Our family is very grateful.

Whenever I go see him, he doesn't really explain things clearly and in detail. I get the vibe that he rushes just to get me out of his office (after we are done talking, he gets up, opens the door, and shows me out the way.) I feel like he just does not care. When I ask about things, he gives me a half-assed answer.

Dr. Yuheng Ruan is the worst doctor I have ever seen. He told me that my prescription was already sent to the pharmacy but when I checked with the pharmacy, they said they did not receive anything from Dr Ruan! I then called South Cove community health service, and the reception lady said this was non of her business and she could leave a note to Dr. Ruan. I called again the next day, and the lady said the note had been passed to Dr. Ruan and asked me to wait. I express my concern that my prescription would soon run out but the lady, again, said "none of my business". I hated to spam them by phone calls, but I have to do that the day after. I was finally able to resume my prescription before it ran out, but I was totally exhausted. This doctor has the least concern towards patients.

Dr Yuheng Ruan sent refill of my wife's prescription to a pharmacy - different chain - in next town, not the one closest to us as requested. Previous refill was sent to correct pharmacy. Sorry Dr. Ruan, this mistake was unnecessary and should not have happened. If this medication had been needed immediately, the patient would be suffering. Please get your act together and start reading your reviews. How can we trust your judgement going forward? Do you even care about your Asian patients? Or is your practice that is more important? Mistakes happen, but as a Doctor this is not acceptable, especially since specific pharmacy name and address (CVS not Walgreens) was provided, including phone number. You are welcome to respond, but I really don't think you care, and that is arrogant.

He left me an impression that I should go elsewhere if I have doubt abt him but what I did was just asking some routine questions. Well if I got a choice I would definitely go elsewhere.
