List of Zacharia Isaac's Reviews
Dr. Isaac is an excellent physiatrist and a kind human being. In April, 2019, I saw him for chronic pain. He gave me one of the single best pieces of medical and self-care advice I ever received, to stop eating sugar in all its forms. He also advised me to cut way back on fast carbs like white flour and alcohol. This move soon cut my pain down 85-90% and I went from not always being able to walk two blocks, which is simply devastating in your fifties, to being able to walk a mile, then two. Gradually I gave up convenience foods and started reading ingredient labels carefully and asking questions before I ordered takeout. When nothing vegetarian (I am a vegetarian) and sugar free was available, I simply moved on! I looked up foods on the glycemic index, made more green smoothies and salads, and ate way more vegetables, nuts and seeds. I will always have a sweet tooth, so I experimented with erythritol, stevia and monk fruit sugar. I have seen Dr. Isaac once or twice a year since, and he remains kind, wise, smart, supportive and funny. He applauds every win, large or small. At his suggestions I have tried a variety of self care tools and I am now even intermittent fasting. So far I have lost 25 pounds. After that first dramatic reduction in pain, slowly but surely, over years, my health and outlook are improving. Chronic conditions are gone or going away. He has inspired me to make a commitment to my health journey and to be open to trying new things. Dr. Isaac gets the interface between psychology, neurology, the mechanics of the body and the practical challenges of life. This enables him to explain things with exceptional clarity. This has caused me to have breakthroughs in understanding my own motivations, goals, strengths and weaknesses. Honestly, with the authenticity, lack of snobbery, warmth and humor - other doctors should take a page from his book. This man is present for his patients to an unusual degree, and this has been a blessing in my life.
Outstanding Dr. Listens is extremely knowledgeable and personable. Never dismisses your pain, works with you until an answer is found. Follows up after your visit, to make certain you are feeling better. Would recommend Dr.Isaac to anyone with serious pain.
If you are someone who is recommended to him to treat fibromyalgia, as I was, it may be helpful to know that the office will not make an appointment for fibromyalgia.
Received shot from Dr Isaac. He was very kind and knowledgeable. He explained everything before and after. Made sure I was comfortable. Great doctor.
He takes his time to listen and examine. He is caring and very knowledgable. He saved my life. He is the best.
My husband received injections to his spine yesterday. Dr. Issac was personable and left no questions unanswered.
Don’t waste your time. He does not want to help. He will leave you in pain. Tries to treat real pain conditions with psychological tactics. A serious waste of time, and shame of a dr.
Dr. Isaac is a great doctor. Explained everything so That I could understand an truly cares about his patients. He gave me an injection in May for my hip and I went in with a pain of 10 and walked out with zero pain. Dr. Isaac is out standing and would recommend him 10 times over!! Received outstanding care. Very patient. Very supportive. Excellent explanations of condition and care plan.
Referred to him by another BWH doctor. First suggested that my pain was entirely caused by depression. Ordered MRI & tried 1 injection. When that didn't work he sent me on my way with a "I hope you feel better soon." His diagnoses changed multiple times and it was clear that he didn't want/have time to treat me. He was disrespectful throughout the entire process and left me with more questions than answers.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
