List of Beth Israel Lahey Health Primary Care- John Mahar Highway's Reviews
Dr Elgiziry is a kind and understanding man. Always asks the questions I need to hear. Gives me plenty of time during my appointment. Mrs Lam is super friendly at the desk, goes out of her way to get me answers to my questions.
I have been going to this location for over 15 yrs .. front desk is great .Dr Elgeziry is amazing.. he was also my Dad's Pcp and was amazing with my dad ..thank you so much for all your great work
I have been seeing Dr. Elgeziry for many years and always appreciate kind, caring and knowledgeable attention. I also appreciate his staff, especially Ms. Lam who helps me with appointments and insurance issues. She is very helpful!
They schedule an appointment for blood test only on 9:30. When I came they said that my primary doctor is not here and want to see me before the blood test. They put me on schedule where primary doctor is not in office and blood test can’t by done . Even the blood test does someone else. I ruined my work day. Thank you
Dr. Mukhergi is the worst doctor, who does not listen to her patient. I will never go to her again, in fact, I do not want to ever go back to this practice. I waited for a doctor for months, only to get the worst one ever.
I wish I could rate less than 1 star. This facility has been utterly unprofessional especially their front desk. I took day off and came all the way from foxboro. They refused to open the door for my appointment because I did not arrive 15 mins before my appointment. Dr Mohamed Elgeziry did not even bother to speak to me after several request. The worst experience ever.
I wish I could leave less than one star. I myself work in healthcare, and after seeing both physicians in Braintree I am completely disgusted with their lack of compassion and common sense. When a patient comes to the doctors with a valid medical concern and the physician ignores them and accuses them of having a somatoform illness, aka being a hypochondriac and making up symptoms, they should really be ashamed of themselves. It is a massive inconvenience to wait three weeks for an appointment and schedule time off just for a doctors appointment, and then to be treated with such disrespect is appalling. If you are considering seeing either physician in this office, RUN. Go literally anywhere else.
Negative 5 stars. DO NOT GO HERE! Horrible staff that cannot be bothered to read the schedule before booking and hates patients. One star is too many for this nightmare of a practice. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!! Note that if you do go here keep all of your receipts for cash copay's as they will lose the copay and will double bill you. I am reporting this fraud to the Better Business Bureau.
Dr E is great, desk staff have always been helpful in my opinion, appointments aren't too far out. The phones issue is an issue with the phones, not the staff. I do wish I were in the appt room on time more often, but otherwise I'm happy to have them right down the street.
I was calling this past week for 4 days trying to get a call back. Last voicemail today was by far the most frustrated. Finally got a call but I don't even think it was because they checked the voicemails. So I decided to read the reviews. This office is rated so poorly, and everyone has encountered the exact same experience as I. No call backs, even after voicemails and calling throughout the day over and over, no operator to speak to a person incase you really need to get through. My initial experience was with a doctor here when my insurance changed. She was only available in the office 2 days a week. 2 days! Why would any patient want that? And she made me feel truly uncomfortable. Always remarking on the color of my hair, I felt mocked to be honest like she was judging me, instead of focusing on my health. Finally I got fed up and one of the girls in the office recommended me to another woman doctor in the office. She is kind and seems helpful but I haven't seen her too much, and I tried booking with her last week but she was booked so I had another doctor who doesn't know me or my history give me basic tests, which rules out some things but I tried calling to make an appointment with my doctor and couldn't get through. And when I went to the fill in last week I wanted her to check me for a sinus infection or something because I've had a headache almost constantly for two weeks and she just gives me a Schpeel and says see your primary care for a referral maybe.. what was the point of seeing you then? I will say this. The nurses and front desk have always been super kind to me, and I love that part of the experience they're very friendly and relatedable, but the doctors I feel a disconnect with and I feel like a test subject and just sent away with the same problems and a script until I finally give up and the problem doesn't get resolved. It's honestly the worst feeling. If my insurance hadn't changed I would have never left my doctor at Harvard medical in Weymouth because she saw me, spent time like she cared and she also would test me for things the same day! Not send me just referrals or for testing somewhere else! Also, at Beth Israel, almost EVERY time, I have waited 30mins-1 hour to be seen after my appointment time has started.. my time is important too. And most recently one of the NP got a speculum stuck on my cervix. I mean clamped on and she’s trying to twist it off, she finally asked another girl, and proceeds to whisper instead of being upfront about the issue. Talk about pain. I couldn’t stop screaming or crying. And NO, this should never happen if a person is trained correctly I called my regular GYN to confirm.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
