I also believe Dr Arroyo is the BEST. When I learned he had left Beth Israel I was saddened. But thankfully my primary care physician found him at Boston Vision. Dr Arroyo has wonderful bedside manner, is patient and precise. He, along with the wonderful staff of residents (at BI);performed a "complicated retinal detachment associated with serious choroidal detachments". I was nervous of the procedure, but all was well. I was comfortable, as well as,comforted and precisely medicated thanks to a great young female anesthesiologist. I highly recommend Dr Arroyo if you are in need of retinal procedure. Great retinal specialist who personalized care and answers all questions. Parking was easy and the practice is modern and runs efficiently. I was even able to get my Ray Bans tuned up and browse other glasses.

Dr. Arroyo is the finest retinal specialist in Boston as far as I am concerned. I am proof. I have talked to other doctors from Mass Gen and he schooled them on procedure etc. Dr Arroyo is the best!

Dr. Arroyo is the perfect retina specialist: extremely skilled as a surgeon, very knowledgeable, and most importantly excellent bedside manner and patience. I have been his patient for many years, and he has not once failed to impress me with his work. I highly recommend if your are able to get an appointment with him. Furthermore, I'm confused why there are so many 1 star reviews. The fact they all have 0 commentary makes them more suspicious.

Excellent doctor. Long wait time (2 1/2 hours). Exam rooms are cramped and dirty.

Dr. Arroyo and all his office staff are very professional and knowledgable. Can not ask for better. The wait can be a bit lengthy at times(not always) although well worth the wait considering how precious your eyes are. You definately are in good hands when you go see Dr. Arroyo and his staff.

I sought out Dr. Arroyo when I had an unusual condition in my retina that my doctors in Chicago weren't able to conquer. He ended up performing retinal surgery on my left eye. The surgery was successful and Dr. Arroyo really took the time to care for me and explain my options along the way. He was worth the trip to Boston! An excellent doctor who is really up to speed on the latest developments in retinal care. Can't say enough good things about him.
