List of Yuko Mccolgan's Reviews
When I visited her, she took a look at my diseased part and Dr. McColgan diagnosed it WRONGLY. After her diagnosis, I went to a specialist and they doubted her diagnosis even before they'd have looked at it. After all, the diagnosis by Dr.McColgan was wrong. There are a lot more about her unprofessional works. She has never answered to my medical questions clearly. Every time when she prescribe drugs, I asked the purpose and side offect. I haven't gotten satisfied answers by her. Regarding to my upcoming surgery, Dr. McColgan said something that contradicted from my understanding. I asked where she knew it from and she passed me a paper and said it was written on the paper. However, the paper was not really saying that and not even related. I asked where it was mentioned on the paper but her answer was very vague. I don't know how she could be a doctor here but she is definitely most unprofessional and disappoint doctor I've ever met.
- Yuko practices a mixture of Eastern & Western medicine. She'll support "drink less coffee/alcohol and exercise more," while understanding the importance of modern chemistry, including medications and vaccines, and how they work in tandem. - When I first admitted a struggle with adult ADHD, Yuko related personal struggles to build mutual understanding, then held me accountable to manage my phone's full inbox. She checks in on medication effectiveness, and continually checks in on my meditative side-hobbies. - She doesn't cut corners and will tell you if she wants to see you change a habit or mindset that will improve your overall health. You get out what you put in. If you are honest with her about your behaviors, and set aside your biases, she will give personalized feedback and help. - Yuko's staff are to-the-point, helpful even if repeat calls are needed, and empathetic to honest questions or requests. Once you get to know them, they are outwardly friendly and can laugh with you!
I wanted to like Dr. Yuko because she is a family doctor, practices both Western and Eastern medicine, is an Asian woman, and made a statement about diversity and inclusion on her webpage. However, I feel like she is not currently the right doctor if you have a rare condition like myself. I feel she is negligent. She does not respond throughly to messages and questions and is abrupt. Also, her check-ins with me were brief and she would tell me she suspected I had something like spinal stenosis or that my symptoms were caused by stress, but not examine me nor order tests. She also has gaslit me for my rare condition as well as the date of my period. She made me a get a second pelvic ultrasound in the winter- spring because she said missed something from the one her practice had me get back in the summer, but she didn't tell me about it until I had my physical in the winter-spring. She also said my good and bad cholesterol went up this year and asked me to show her the supplements I take because she suspected they were the cause-- I went home to document and send her the information and got no response and when I followed up, the response was abrupt and irrelevant. During my pap smear, she said she wanted to talk to me about a endometrial biopsy, but didn't so I had to schedule an appointment with a gynecologist and spend more time doing that. The gynecologist asked me about my history and suspected that a endometrial biopsy was unlikely necessary and that the irregular thickness was likely part of normal changes with the lining throughout the cycle-- now I have to go back for a 3rd pelvic ultrasound.
I wasn’t impressed by her from the beginning, but over time it got worse. She misdiagnosed something (quite significant). She didn’t have time to discuss a wrong entry she made in my online health records. At an annual checkup, she was out the door before I could ask her a question about a health concern. Her focus is not the patient, but getting paid by the insurance (she even articulated this implicitely ...
I wasn’t impressed by her from the beginning, but over time it got worse. She misdiagnosed something (quite significant). She didn’t have time to discuss a wrong entry she made in my online health records. At an annual checkup, she was out the door before I could ask her a question about a health concern. She talked me into an additional exam I didn’t need because she said otherwise she would not get paid by the insurance. She spends nearly all time looking at her computer, not even look up when I try to show her the location of my pain. Examinations are rather superficial. She does Google searches to find answers to health concerns, then shows me the Google results images on her laptop. The final straw was the woman who picks up the phone at her office most of the time. She is utterly rude, bullying, and talking down; and it gets worse every time. Her intent to offend emanates even over the phone. This is a hostile place to be called a doctor’s office. She is no longer my doctor.
I don't normally write a negative review but I had to - this doctor is the one you should stay away. I wish I had read the negative reviews here before I made an appointment- my experience was actually worse.
Dr. Yuko is the absolute best. I was referred to her by a friend who told me this is the first doctor she has ever had that she actually enjoyed going to see. I was in need of a new doctor and she was accepting new patients. Yuko is incredibly thorough and does not finish your visit until all questions are answered. You can tell she truly cares for her patients. I have since referred another friend to her and my husband is a patient of hers now as well. Dr. Yuko is kind and incredibly funny, which makes the entire experience much less stressful. There have been times where some of the people working in the office have been a little scattered (which I have experienced often at many other medical practices, so it happens) but her crew right now is awesome. If you want a doctor who honestly cares about you, as a person and a patient, I cannot recommend Dr. Yuko enough. She feels like a friend that you see every so often and for that I commend her efforts in making her practice a true family practice.
Never would I consider writing a review for a doctor until I saw the bizarre reviews from the other year. Dr. Yuko has compassion and takes the time to listen and understand your whole life, not just the physical pains. She is proactive with testing and medicine, always placing her patient's well being first. Dr. Yuko and Alex were an amazing team during COVID. I appreciate nurse Kat's straight-forward approach. Chanelle handles the front end with efficiency and a sense of humor. The team is truly wonderful!
I am updating my earlier revue... when I started with her I explained I was wholistic and try more nature way and she agreed .. two short years later is is demanding I take vaccines like TDAP vaccines because children are in her practice.. I am 70 years old and am proud of my health and no meds! No real contact with children! She also demanded I take a flu shot or would not be my doctor... so I walked out the door and found another doctor who is appalled a doctor should do that ...
Dr. Yuko is an amazing doctor, extremely knowledgeable, and very caring. Her care goes way beyond what a standard doctor would ever provide.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
