Been waiting an hour with zero apology. Another patient had to her a ride here and her appointment is after mine. Totally unprofessional and very expensive.
I had an appointment on July 18th at 10:30 AM. I arrived 10 minutes early and was told to wait. 11 o'clock approached. I asked when I would be seen and the receptionist could only provide a vague answer "probably at least 2-3 hours". When I responded with disbelief she told me the the doctor was very thorough and I should have been told this information when I booked the appointment. I have no idea why knowing this, they simply couldn't build this into the scheduling. There was one other person in the waiting room, who arrived well after me. Yet I was told that there were two people in front of me. After voicing my displeasure with all of this, I left. I've never experienced such poor service and such an incompetent and uncaring staff. Furthermore, when I called the main number to complain, I was put on hold for ten minutes and told the manager would call me back to address my concerns. He never did (It was a he, I'm not assuming here). Stay away from this place or be prepared to completely waste your time.
That place, Dr. Farhani and Dr. Azam saved my vision.I was sent to Dr. Farhani by Dr. Klaahsen from General Optical in Cambridge who noticed a sharp decline in my vision (although I was followed by Mass Eye and Ear).Dr. Farhani was pleasant, professional, identified the problem and the SOLUTION. Dr. Azam made the scleral lens which restored most of my eyesight. Dr.Azam was so happy that I can see well again. This two doctors restored my vision and my trust in the medical profession
Excellent doctors
Dr. Mina Farahani of OCB is just wonderful. We've seen her at the Cambridge location. She went above and beyond to help my brother-in-law with an eye issue. She is always good about explaining things in regular language, and even though I know she's very, very busy, she always is calm and kind. Highly recommend her. (I think she's at the Cambridge office once a week, not sure about her schedule at the other OCB locations.)
This consortia of eye care specialists simply fails at their goals of offering a variety of services and seems destined to get worse. While the eye surgery itself was fine, the morning of was a disaster. OCB is supposed to be a repository of your health information, insurance, etc, and is responsible for forwarding that to the surgical center. I learned this when OCB failed at every corner and I had to do this all myself, on the fly, sitting in the parking lot of the center with two cell phones going, begging my insurance company and Primary Care to replicate the missing documents in and forward to the surgical center in minutes. I was successful with both Tufts Insurance and the PCP, but last missing piece, you guessed it, OCB who held on to the doctors orders and medical history. "Roxanne" promised she'd send at 8:30 in the morning, and did not. "Selina" took the second call and laughingly said "Oh, I thought this surgery was cancelled" which seems to be their go-to phrase. Oh, and getting these people to pick up the phone? Forget it. On hold for hours at a time in some circumstances. I called to tell them we were running 10 minutes behind schedule, and 4 hours laters when my "return call" occurred, we had already been home for 2 hours. Ridiculous. They are attempting to put too many eggs in one basket and have cracked them all if you asked me. Seek alternate care.

Very bad experience today with the customer service. I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment and was waiting 30 minutes to be seen. Nobody did. Nobody but me was in waiting room as well. The manager Cathleen was very jumpy and rude to me when I asked how long am supposed to wait for my appointment. Wasn’t a good experience at all. I would not recommend this facility if you respect yourself. I used to be a client since 2012-2013 and everything was fine, but now I am looking for ophthalmologists who respect my time.
This is by far THE WORST place you can go. My visit was a comedy of errors- I called and made an appointment with Dr. Stampfer for myself and my husband. When I went there I was scheduled to see Dr. Judge, and my husband was to see another person who was an optometrist!!!! That was all without our knowledge. Dr. Judge was ok- she rushed me through and gave a prescription that apparently you cannot fill there. You have to go somewhere else- and a couple of places I went they insist their specialist look at you and diagnose. Basically it was a waste of time. The staff was very unprofessional -they were on their cell phones most of the time. In terms of the insurance- I have a vision insurance and asked them to use that. However they billed it to my primary insurance and I have been getting these bills for co-payment for months. I called several times to charge it to my other insurance, but the bills kept coming. Finally someone told me that it is too much of a hassle to charge the other insurance, so supposedly they adjusted the co-payment. We will see, but I am never going back there again!
Simply terrible. The technician rushed through my eye exam and as a result the prescription was incorrect. I even mentioned this to the doctor at the time.Dealing with their customer service is an exercise in hassle and difficulty. This place seems to be run like a medical assembly line and I suggest avoiding at all costs.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
