They charge you extra, then don t respond to e-mails. Keep up good work!
This place is the worst. I had issues with a crown that they did not properly seal when they placed it. To address this I have contacted Tend now 12 times to discuss a resolution, but instead of addressing the situation they gaslight, push off and ignore. Someone different responds each time and they just give you the run run runaround! Like I’m not dumb and know what you are doing. Outside of providing substandard dental work, I believe that Tend is overcharging patients/providing services without a patient’s consent. When I first came in for my crown appt, I paid $37.00 and then an additional $217.60 totaling $254.60. Later, I received an additional bill for $184.80. I was told when I paid the original amount, that I would not owe anything additional, but a short time later received a bill from Tend. Ummmm okayyyyy. Additionally, during a dental cleaning I signed a document stating that my total amount due for services was $0. This was after my original quote was for $17 for Fluoride, which I declined. Later, I received a bill for $45. After reviewing my EOB, I saw that x-rays provided were not covered because my “benefit plan has a limit for how often this procedure is covered”. I never consented to having these X-Rays done YET again and should have been told I would have to pay for them up front. Like this is very deceptive. Billing/insurance issues seem to be a common theme with others as well. If Tend cared about their patients at all, there would be a higher sense of urgency in making things right. Instead they just continue to give people the runaround. AVOID this place at all costs!!!
I really enjoy going here! It’s a predictable experience which makes it more enjoyable and a less overwhelming dental experience.
It takes almost nine months to a year for Tend to submit claims properly to your insurance company, and Tend collects money from you, in the meantime, for having an outstanding balance when it is time for your next six-month visit. You are not able to speak directly to those who handle billing and insurance to expedite resolution of issues, and the communications from the customer service team are filled with incorrect and conflicting information. The dental providers are excellent, but the billing and insurance team is pitiful. I have been with my dentist for more than ten years at the various practices she has worked. I love her and trust her 100% with my family’s dental needs, but Tend’s poor operations on the billing and insurance side have driven me away.
Two times I have made an appointment at Tend. And two times after arriving for the appointment, was told that Tend could not "verify my insurance" and the start date was not until the new year. The first time I thought there may have been an issue with my insurer. According to my insurer and according to the Tend website, I am covered. It is unclear exactly what is going on here, though suspect I may have been I on the receiving end of a tactic to extort higher payments out of individuals because the margins are greater than certain insurer reimbursements. Initially, when my appointments were made, I was told that my insurance was accepted. At time of appointment, and after I have come into the office, the insurance is not verified - presumably because it is assumed that because I have made the trip in, I will just pay out of pocket. Compounding the issue, when I questioned the receptionist about why I would have to pay $375, she responded "contact your insurer." I said that I have done that and confirmed that my coverage has been verified. She was immediately dismissive and replied "this ain't got nothin to do with us - you can do whatever you want." Unsatisfying experience and exemplary of the "we care more about our website than our patients" approach to healthcare. Perhaps also if Tend were focused on patient care instead of patient numbers, I would recommend them. But I cannot. Turns out not everything (like dental care) is a good candidate for venture finance.
Great detailed service and friendly staff
I adore Dr Evans (I believe that’s her name). She’s the first dentist to speak positively about my smile and makes solely recommendations for my health and longevity of my teeth rather than nit pick cosmetic things. The hygienists are lovely and take the time to educate you on preventative measures at home without being pushy or judgmental.
I’ve been going here for years, they do an amazing job. Always nice and friendly & great about keeping track of treatment. My oral health has completely transformed since coming here
I'm sure I won't go to another dentist! Had my first exam on October 19th with Hygienist Ahmed Tamim. He provided the service with the utmost professionalism and care. I Had fun sharing a conversation with him. Already booked my next visit!
I’ve had a fantastic experience at Tend. I have had very high dental anxiety throughout my life and once I communicated this to the team we talked through a plan to keep me informed and comfortable with the dental work I needed to get done! My dental anxiety has dramatically decreased over the last few years and my teeth are healthier than ever. Highly recommend!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
