I have been a patient of Dr. Akerkar for nearly a decade. Whenever I have a flare-up, it is addressed right away. She is very knowledgeable in her field & it is a positive atmosphere. I feel very comfortable to be under her care & our daughter has transferred to her since turning 18. Dr. Akerkar always takes time to explain results & treatment plans, while also allowing time for questions to be asked. Nurses are always friendly & professional. I have also stopped into the office w/records or to make an appt if I’m in the area & they are always helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Akerkar & her staff!

This place is so disorganized - long waits to schedule appointments and you never get to see the doctor. If they are billing it as a physician visit, shouldn't we get to see the physician. Made me take scan after scan, don't know what my results are and what its implications are even after months. What a mess!

Dr. Akerkar is a wonderful caring gastroenterologist. She explained everything to me both before and after my procedure so that I would fully understand what she was doing abd her findings. I would definitely recommend her as a gastroenterologist.

DR Akerkar has been my MD for 20 years . When I had my very first coclonscopy she found cancer. I feel she saved my life. Every follow up appointment with her has been a positive experience. She is very knowledgeable and explains everything thouroughly. She makes sure you understand everything and is patient with any questions . I recommend her to the max. All the nurses at the center were wonderful and accomodating.

My identical twin sister and I are patients Of Dr.A Akekar She is one of the best medical doctors we have seen. She is a very patient person who genuinely cares about her patients.She takes the time to explain everything. Dr. Akerkar has been my doctor for both colonoscopy and endoscopy procedures for more than 10 years. She always shows much compassion and concern which helps me to relax. Is easy to talk to and takes the time to provide a thorough explanation of the findings and answers any questions. Since I have always had the best experience, my wife changed her doctor and also goes to Dr. Akerkar when she is due for a colonoscopy.

I have been with Dr. Akerkar for many years. She is not only very professional, caring, so are her staff, always returning phone calls when needed and answering questions. I have moved to Florida, found doctors to go to, which is not an easy task, but came to Massachusetts to have my procedure done by Dr. Akerkar, I know I'm in good hands with Dr. Akerkar. As long as I can travel, I'll be coming to MA every 5 years to have my procedure done. Thank you for your professionalism along with your compassion, humor and your staff for helping long distance. Amazing!

If you want to have a life-threatening injury from Colonoscopy for rest of your life, Akerkar is your doctor. She intentionally injured me and then dropped me from her practice at the same day. Akerkar should lose her license to practice.
