List of Mgh Chelsea Urgent Care's Reviews
10/10 this urgent care is great. i’ve never had an issue with waiting a long time here. they do get busy at certain times but that should be expected. i’ve never dealt with any healthcare workers who have been anything less than nice and personable there too.
My husband visited this urgent care by my recommendation this week with flu symptoms and a nagging cough and was prescribed antibiotics and a skin rash medicine for a skin infection he didn’t have (confirmed by an ER MGH boston doctor). I find this absolutely unprofessional being prescribed an antibiotic before his Flu results came back and it was only the second day of his symptoms, he called back and was told sorry we cannot give you anti viral medicine for the flu , keep taking the antibiotic that he didn’t need . He could have gotten an anti viral medicine and would have got better by now but 6 days later an he is still sick with high fevers and a rash 3 times worse, not wonder why we have antibiotic resistance issues everywhere. We would never come back or recommend this place to anyone, awful experience.
Awful... awful awful awful... went with my fiance to get a hiking injury checked out to which the doctor put down all wrong Info that we told her, then wrote her a note for work to keep her home for a few days but literally stated the opposite of what it needed to say and then they took and x ray of the wrong side of her body... wtf!!! Must have got her MD from the University of Phoenix online. Oh and did I forget to mention we waited 2 hours to be seen for this atrocious quality of care. Do not, I repeat DO NOT GO HERE! GO LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE!!! Edit: when we called back to talk to them about this issue and tell them all the info was wrong and they x ray the wrong place, they wouldn't even let us leave a message stating this was a non urgent matter... I'm glad malpractice is a none urgent matter.
la mejor clínica que hay el personal es muy bueno las enfermeras son muy amables y los doctores todos son muy buenos me gusta mucho tanto la clínica como el hospital MGH que dios los bendiga a todos son muy buenos excelentes
The only reason I am leaving two stars is because the doctor that saw me was extremely nice and knowledgeable BUT the other low star reviews do ring true. I thought this was an urgent care but was billed over $700 for outpatient fees and for a "hospital" visit and "hospital lab services". DO NOT GO HERE FOR "URGENT CARE".
Visit was easy and fast. Staff was pleasant and Dr was very knowledgeable. They also have access to records for patients already in the MGH systems, which is a nice plus.
Dr. Mallika Joy Marshall and her team of nurses were so kind and wonderful to work with. I felt heard, understood, and cared for with empathy, patience, and true professionalism from everyone. I waited essentially nothing to be seen and the experience was quick, easy, and just as I would hope! Thank you for your wonderful care!
Charged $1k (over $300 after insurance) for outpatient hospital services, despite them being an urgent care. I wasn't there for more than an hour, and just got my vitals taken and a flu test.
This urgent care facility is charging me over $2000 for tests I declined and did not consent to. I was there for maybe 20 minutes for a mental health emergency and their medical advice was to “go to McDonald’s and get a milkshake” The billing department refuses to help so now I am stuck with a $2000 bill for tests I did not need or want.
Worst place ever. Always filthy. A satellite office run by “minorities” will treat you as such. Careless, rude, and ignorant staff that ignores your concerns. Don’t be scammed by these people. All they care about is money! They don’t bill you as an Urgent Care. They r outpatient so don’t be surprised if you get slammed with a really big bill for something so small. Also, wait time in general is rediculous. I walked in w my Son w a stab wound on the leg and we waited for 1 1/2 hours in the waiting area. When we walked in the white board said 1-2 hour wait. After we waited 1 1/2 hours one of the workers there erased the wait time to update it to a 3-4 hour wait. Like really? This is completely unacceptable. No clinic should have a 3-4 hour wait time. Iv been there b4 and have waited up to 6 hours w a simple UTI. 1-2 hour wait time is understandable if they r short staffed but every single time I go there it is the same w no improvement on wait times. Also, how on earth r they even operating? They should be shut completely down. Not enough room, not enough staff, and doctors. They triage the patients then kick them back out to the waiting area no matter what the circumstances are. Everyone stuck together. Ppl coughing, holding urine samples in their hand in the waiting room. My Son w a deep open wound on his leg, bleeding next to everyone and yet they have the audacity to let us sit there for 2 hours to then update board to a wait time of now 3-4 hours. No privacy for patient information. If you do not have enough rooms to keep the patients in and on top of that, not enough staff you shouldn’t operate as an “Urgent Care” period. How about a specialty clinic instead? It shouldn’t be an urgent care. This place needs to be closed down. Super filthy as well 👎🏻

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
