Really terrible customer support, needed to call several times and be redirected all over the place just to speak to someone who can schedule a minor proceedure/surgery. So sad that BIDMC customer service has gone so far down hill over the past 5 years. Used to be World Class....now it is just plain awful! Thank god for the portal as that is the only way to get anything accomplished. Unfortunately the portal can't do everything.

Dr. Lester Shoap yanked me off medication he was prescribing to me for no reason whatsoever, telling me some story about how he refused hip surgery for 2 years and never missed a day of work like that should somehow be relevant to me, and when I asked to speak to the office manager, he put his hand on my shoulder and pushed me toward the front of the hall. This grown, ancient man who clearly needs to retire caused me to suffer withdrawal symptoms because he had a bad day, and assaulted me at his practice. I called the police and filed a report. He says I “bumped into him”. Not sure how I can bump into someone behind me while I’m walking forward, Lester. He also lied on my medical documentation. I plan to pursue my legal options to their fullest extent. No wonder he was the ONLY primary care doc who could see me before July of 2024. RUN, don’t walk, away from this abusive man and this medical practice. UPDATE: Since I went ahead and filed the police report, Lester Shoap has written out a note calling me a “hysterical drug addict with severe psychiatric issues”, notably portraying himself as the white knight and myself as the historically hysterical female. He also lied, including a nurse BY NAME, about pushing me in the hallway. Which he absolutely did. And the nurse will answer for that under oath. Stay FAR away. This dude clearly thinks he’s god.

Very responsible doctor- even though the waiting time is forever

Dr. Davis will not see me since 2 days after surgery because of incident that happened in surgery unless there's some thing else is that I never knew about.

Everyone here is kind, professional, and caring. I never have to wait long to see my doctor. Clean and convenient facility.

Let me preface this by stating that I never go to the doctor. I switched my primary care doctor there about a year ago and met w/ Dr Hurvitz, who was great by the way. I called to set up a sick visit the other day by he was not available as he has now gone part-time. I ended up meeting w/ Dr Holtzman. Awful experience, like I previously stated, I never go to the doctor so for me to make an appt it was kind of serious. I went in for a sore throat that just has not been going away. The doctor looked and said not much he could do and not much he could tell me, just needs to run it's course. It lasted about four minutes tops. Felt rushed which I could understand if it was busy but I think I was the only patient in the place. I'm planning on switching pcp somewhere else.
