List of Brian Z Bilchik's Reviews
Dr. Bilchik seemed to be the most caring dedicated specialist i'd ever consulted regularly for heredity cardiovascular disease that has proven deadly to both of my siblings at an early age, and my father. With increasing age, although that heightened my risk, he reduced my appointments from twice a year to once a year, over a decade. Then, 2 years ago, cancelled my annual check in. At that point, I'd been on statins for 3.5 years. I called repeatedly this year in an effort to get through to him, with no response, other than a message from his assistant, when I asked for a referral to another cardiologist, "Dr. Bilchik says you should find a cardiologist at the Brigham" leaving me on my own. It is impossible to get in to even schedule an appt with any of their experienced cardiologists, and takes months to even get into the clinic & wasn't possible without his referral, which he did not provide. Consequently, in the meantime, i had 2 cardiac "events" & discovered that y lipid Profile had escalated to "highest Risk" without any other factors besides genetic link. When I needed him most, he was nowhere to be found. And the entire point of having a cardiologist tracking me as i aged, especially as a woman, because we are the gender who gets overlooked in cardiac emergencies, was so that he could handle what would happen next , not if, but when I crossed into the danger threshold. The philosophy of Lown Clinic is non-interventional, but when it came time for Dr. Bilchik to be increasingly vigilant , he disappeared entirely. Good luck if you are woman and you fall for his apparent dedication to tracking your case if you have genetic markers for sudden fatal heart attack or stroke. maybe he'll follow through, maybe he won't.
We are most fortunate to have Dr. Bilchik here in the Boston area. He is an exemplary cardiologist with expertise in all areas, and most importantly, he is a kind and caring physician, truly interested in his patients and their total well being.
Thumbs up! Every time.
Dr. Bilchik listens to your problems and fully explains what could be possible causes and solutions. He is a curious person who truly takes an interest in your situation.
Dr. Brian McKeon performed a rotator cuff surgery on me in November last year. I would say, I was very nervous when he told me how the procedure goes but he made me have so much confidence that by the time he did the surgery all went very well. I would say, he was very patient with me, listened to me and that gave me a lot encouragement. The office staff and the nurses were wonderful. The healing of rotator cuff after surgery takes time but he is really working good with me. I would recommend anyone to Dr. Brian McKeon.
Dr. Bilchik uses a wonderful combination of 'old fashioned' medicine (taking time to speak with the patient, advise on nutrition, etc) and cutting edge technologies to provide a truly unparalled healthcare experience. Highly recommended!
Excellent doctor with wonderful communication skills ... very good one on one with patient ...I feel lucky to have found a doctor that is "a perfect fit" ... I "know" that I am in good hands and also have an outstanding back-up team ...
Dr Bilchik exemplifies the best qualities of a cardiac specialist who keeps up to date on all relevant research, works with you in a collaborative rather than domineering authoritarian manner, and has an expansive attitude to alternative possibilities. He supports you as the patient in adoptive a pro-active stance toward cardiac health, while being realistic and informative about options.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
