Ambika has performed cataract surgery on my wife and me without any issues. She has closely monitored my glaucoma for several years and has been gracious, professional and humerous without exception. And have you looked at her CV? We are blessed to have a physician of her caliber providing an extremely high level of care to this region.

Did not introduce self to a customer Did not ask for any assistance for a possible wheelchair to chair transfer to attempt eye evaluation Did not know type if visit No effort given for patient care Did not document evaluation for skilled nursing facility Had to ask for documentation Eye techs did not ask for help as well No one stepped out of the box to help the patient Never new an outpatient facility with an MGH name was so limited. Very disheartening

Dr. Houguet is competent, kind and really put me at ease over my concerns regarding cataract surgery. I'm happy she is my new care provider, and highly recommend her.

Continued from my previous comment about her treatment of my grandfather: After I repeated the information to my grandfather that she had given to me in a whisper, she continued not looking at him, speaking in a patronizing tone as if to a child, and never directly answering his questions, or outright chuckling at his concerns. This is the way a WWII vet gets treated? She was the most unprofessional, grossly rude, and incompetent communicator I have ever had the displeasure of meeting with.

Dr Houget misdiagnosed me in 2016; she said I did not have glaucoma, but I did. Whats worse, she was not thorough or thoughtful and dismissive of my questions. I am losing my eyesight. There are so many options for glaucoma physicians in the Boston area, I urge you to seek medical help from another doctor.
