If you want to see the BEST dermatologist PA you will ever have, see Kim Comeau. She provides extraordinary care and service She takes the time and energy to go above and beyond to be there to answer any concern or question!! She is beyond any dermatologist that I have ever met. She is gold and always goes the extra mile, always there to answer questions, is personable, caring and just cares about her patients in the most genuine way. She is such a knowledgeable dermatologist PA and does not make you feel stupid when you think you are asking something that may be stupid. She reassures you that any question is a good question and that she is there to help answer it. I would not trust my skin with anyone else. You are all very lucky to have her. She is extraordinary!!
11+ years later of beng a patient of Dr. Shaftner and I believe we started around the same time, the only time I really need to be seen because I found a very abnormal growth on my ear. I told the office I had Masshealth as a secondary insurance and they wouldn't let me make an appointment. The secretary said they were advised to "encourage" Masshealth members to book someplace else. Then she asked if I wanted her to ask the manager if I gave a credit card, so I could make an appointment. I thought how awful they do this to Masshealth members, but said yes, again desperate, but never received a call back. So they say they encourage, but actually they don't let you. I have been on Masshealth the past few years. I don't why they thought I was on still on a private insurance. I show them when I go in and they say they dont take it. I've always paid my co-pays, every single one. I waited and of course, I never received a call back. Ive been calling dermatologists that are booking a year out, it definitely left a bad taste in my mouth with the office. I dont know if it's the doctor's or office manager's policy, but it's 100 percent wrong. They left me hanging when I needed them most.
I see Dr. Shofner at this location (previously went to Winchester) and have had great experiences at both locations. Short wait times and easy parking in Danvers, very efficient operation and have always been happy with my care. Dr. Shofner is friendly, upbeat, conscientious, and listens to any concerns I have, and has successfully done any biopsies or excisions I needed very quickly with everything healing up well. Scheduling is easy and the office is easy to work with. Would recommend!
Dr. Kimberly Comeau and the entire staff at Dermatology Associates Danvers have provided me and my family exceptional care for years. The level of care we receive is unmatched. I suffer from severe anxiety and Dr. Comeau thoroughly explains the treatment options for my conditions and gives me peace of mind that I’ve never had from other providers. I highly recommend Dr. Comeau and the friendly professional admin staff.
Was seen for no more than 10 minutes, was misdiagnosed, and billed $250. Avoid!
I saw NP Altman today and she was phenomenal. She really validates all concerns and looks at patients as a whole. I was there for an annual skin screening check and not only did she spend thorough time through the examination process but she even took time to address other skin concerns for me and provide recommendations.
Excellent Care
I tried to make an appointment by phone, the receptionist (sound like an old woman) was kinda mean and anxious, she was cutting me off while I was talking and had an attitude, I asked her ¨how much would be after the first appointment¨ and she said ¨I don't know, I don't know, I don't know¨ 3 times in a row ¨because I am not the one who is gonna assist you, do u understand that?¨ Really really mean. Maybe she needs to get trained again or get another job. Never treat myself here because this woman.
Terrible I spoke with Julianne at customer service, she didn’t know how to help with going about explaining their insurance, very unwelcoming.
I rarely leave reviews, but felt compelled to here. Was referred here from Tufts Medical after an adverse drug reaction. Got an appointment next day, and the process honestly could not have been smoother. Special thanks to Alex McGovern for taking care of me! 5 stars

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
