I recently visited Dartmouth Dermatology Associates after getting an allergic reaction from poison ivy! Their office is very well run and making an appointment was so easy! It was very comforting that I could make an appointment in the evening with a dermatologist for the next morning at 8:30 a.m. Dr. Besen is great and I see him for other things regularly. He confirmed poison ivy quite easily and gave me two prescriptions that have helped tremendously. Everyone that works there is really nice and respectful. I highly recommend them!

I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Besen. He has been an absolute lifesaver throughout my pregnancy and postpartum journey with Pemphigoid Gestationis. Being diagnosed with something so rare and painful during pregnancy was incredibly scary, especially with everything else we were navigating. From the very beginning, Dr. Besen took my concerns seriously, listened to me, explained things in a way I could understand, and was always there to help guide my care. I never felt dismissed or like I was “just another patient.” My PG became especially challenging during the end of pregnancy and flared again after I delivered, and having a dermatologist I trusted made such a difference during an already overwhelming time. I genuinely feel so grateful that I was under his care. He is not only an incredibly knowledgeable and skilled dermatologist, but also compassionate, attentive, and truly invested in his patients. I will always be thankful for the care he gave me during one of the most difficult seasons of my life. If you are looking for a dermatologist who will listen, advocate for you, and genuinely care about your well-being, I cannot recommend Dr. Besen enough.

I’ve been going to this practice for years. They are very attentive & particular when checking for sun spots, adhesions and/or changes in our skin. They do a thorough exam without making you feel uncomfortable or hesitant and shy.
