List of Hugo Jauregui's Reviews
Dr. Hugo Jauregui is an excellent physician. Couldn't ask for a better physician, he takes the the time to listen to his patients and help them
Cool guy
Very nice dr and nurse
Don’t book with him. He isn’t honest with you. I made a meet and greet because I was told I had to in order to get a yearly checkup which I was overdue for. Yet during the 15min meet and greet which I had to wait in the exam room for Dr HUGO J for, he rushed in late by 21 min and I sat in exam room for 30 min. No compassion for me being upset and Never told me about my blood pressure being high (done wrong ) until end of 15 min rushed visit. I explained the reason I was there and he took it upon himself to suddenly jump up and at end of appointment check my heart with stethoscope. I received a LARGE bill for a meet and greet. Seek another place that isn’t looking for your money over your health concerns. He told me rudely upon rushing to next patient that this was a meet and greet and if he talked to me any longer he would have to bill me for an established visit, which he then did. He ordered tests and I only found out when I opened my mail too.
Very nice I will recommend my husband was very pleased
I have been trying for many months to get a NEW doctor, with Covid it has not been easy I finally was able to book at Hawthorne Medical in Dartmouth. After calling I was given Dr HUGO J, as he was the only doctor available for soonest appointment in person. I was told this was a “meet and greet 15 min appointment”. Upon my first initial visit, I was told I had a ten dollar copay to JUST meet the new doctor HUGO J. I paid was on time and waited. I was taken in ten minutes after waiting to the exam room. 4:21pm for a 4:30pm appointment. Then I waited another 21 minutes in a closed room no windows the a face mask on for Dr Hugo J to see me. He abruptly came in and sat down and asked me what was the reason for my visit. I explained I had needed a new Doctor as mine of 20 years suddenly retired leaving me without a primary care doctor. Dr Hugo J, was typing while talking to me in person. He then got up and checked my heart with a stethoscope, my thyroid and ear, because I mentioned ear problem and it had been a while since I had an ultrasound on my Thyroid and in the past had a biopsy of a nodule. He asked about the Previous and past test results of this and my mammogram. He stated because I’m 50 I need a colonoscopy but he couldn’t schedule one due to possible shut down again after Thanksgiving with Covid like the state of Rhode Island just did. I was told then my blood pressure was high, and he then showed me a paper and wrote down what it was. Dr Hugo J then told me to “buy a $25.00, blood pressure kit and take it every day for a month”. Dr Hugo J, then said he wasn’t concerned about my left ear problem and thyroid, and that he was more concerned with me possibly having a stroke with my big blood pressure number taken just once. I became confused and stated my blood pressure has never been high as I don’t have any issues or past with it and it’s always on the low side. Dr Hugo J was given my past medical record information to research and see past history and consent to look at/ and view. Dr Hugo J, said anything over a year medically isn’t relevant. My chart from previous visits and medical was never researched or even added while or after our initial FIRST meet and greet visit. I then was not able to make an appointment in person as the receptionist left with it being after 5pm for the day and Dr HUgo J never seeing me until close to 5:00 for a 4:30 scheduled appointment. Suddenly Mallory the medical assistant came into the room as she stated she would “Book me in a month” as Dr Hugo J recommend before rushing and letting me know he had another patient waiting and he was late for them too. Mallory then viewed the schedule and saw Dr Hugo J, has nothing in person until Jan 20,2021 as he was “booked solid”. I was only offered a telephone appointment on Christmas Eve 2020. I clearly stated I am unable to do video visits. Mallory then left the room to speak to Dr Hugo J, about my concern. She came back into the room and told me “Dr Hugo J would check his schedule and see when he could fit me in, and that I would get a call on November 30,2020. I said ok and left. I was Not told that Dr Hugo J did an exam on me at the meet and greet, which isn’t the reason for the initial appointment visit or that Dr Hugo J , performed this to get me referrals and also Dr Hugo J made two additional orders never discussed in person and only discovered when I went to get my mail and opened it to see the two medical orders mailed to me. I sent an email that day upon receiving mailed orders inquiring about them. My question about a follow up Appointment for 30 days was never booked or answered. I only then saw I was booked an appointment with Dr Hugo J for April 2021. I noticed yesterday after an email I have a HUGE bill for something done to me without my knowledge that isn’t covered for the initial visit or authorization from Harvard Pilgrim health insurance. So this is why I was schedule for April 2021 and NOT in 30 days as he stated he would see me for a longer visit for. This visit was a meet and greet and Dr Hugo J, took advantage of me!!!
The best, most attentive doctor I've ever had in my life. Blessed to have him as my primary doctor.
He was one of the best doctors that my husband and I had ever seen
He was my Doctor for many years. I became his patient when he was at Starr. I then followed him to South Main St. Imagine my surprise when I get a form letter from that office, informing me that he had left, and no further information was available. What a HORRIBLE way to treat his patients. Hope he treats you better!!
I have been going to Dr. Jauregui for over ten years and sincerely trust and respect him. Highly recommendedjust note the wait times used to be a little long but have sincec been much better with the new office.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
