Dr. Chen’s expertise, professionalism, and plain old ’bedside manner’ were so deeply appreciated for my 98-year-old friend who was recently seen at Hawthorne Urgent Care. Not only was Dr. Chen exceptional in his medical care, but also had that special ’extra’ quality of patience....somewhat of a ’lost art’ in the medical field. The Hawthorne Urgent Care Center really has its protocols together during this time of COVID 19. Efficient and Safe and above all, Competent.

He takes his time to talk to you so you can understand. He has an excellent bedside manner his staff including his Medical assistant and medical secretary are also very nice, efficient and professional. Highly recommend.

I felt he didn't listen to what I was telling him about why I was there at urgent care. He told me three times how lucky I was that I didn't have allergies like his daughter. I was treated for some of my symptoms but the main reason for my visit was either ignored or totally overlooked and I now have to make an appt with my primary care a week later. Such great reviews... maybe just a bad day.

Saw Dr. Chen today at Hawthorn Urgent Care. He's very down to earth, casual, caring, reassuring, knowledgeable, etc. This doc has a nice bedside manner and great sense of humor. I'm not a fan of urgent care centers but received excellent care at Hawthorn and from this doc. There was a very limited wait. I moved from the lobby waiting area to getting my stats collected, then into the exam room quickly. Doc showed up maybe 5 minutes later. He listened to my odd symptoms and though he couldn't find anything on exam, recommended an ENT follow-up -- and made that happen for me same day, just a few hours later. ENT scope was indeed key to figuring out my issue. Pleasant to find a doc who can lighten up, chat and laugh with patients while providing great medical attention.

I cannot say enough good things about having Dr. Chen as the physician when going to urgent care! He was thorough, provided treatment quickly and efficiently. He listened very intently and connect d all the dots! It was an extremely positive experience. Very grateful that he was my husband's physician! Phew!

I am going to miss Dr Chen very much I I'll miss my two hour appointments with him as we jabber away I esspecaly miss his son Aiden who is a prodegy at drama and art and when I go to the office he always sends a picture for put in my house Chen is going to take over. New position as medical director of urgent Care at harthon medical also I will miss the office manager Fatima such good people I wish him the best but will miss him very much all his patients will feel the loss.
