Very condescending. Often lies to my face telling me he's going to refill something the hospital recommended and then doesn't. Very unprofessional.

Dr. Carolan Has a pleasant disposition and good bedside manner. I did not feel rushed, he explained my condition, he allowed for my questions, he explained my test results, and has an overall caring nature to him. I have seen other pulmonologist before him in the area and have not seen the same. I would recommend him to others as a pulmonologist.

I was fortunate to get Dr. Carolan who reviewed my case at the hospital. He took care of difficult issues well. When I finish this, I plan to make an appointment with his office for a consult.. Some of the questions below are not applicable because I did not see Dr. Carolan in the office. It was in the hospital.

Would not recommend Dr. Carolan to others; I'm surprised he's rated this highly. He listened to me, but did not HEAR me. He took what I said and put it through his own filters of what he thought must surely be going on, rather than looking objectively at all the test results. He's rigid and very by-the-book; perhaps engineering would have suited him better than medicine. Poor communicator, as well. He is a nice person but I was dissatisfied with the care I got from this doctor.

The best!!! Dr. Carolan took the time to educate me on my condition. He gave me realistic expectations and provided outstanding care. I had seen two other physicians before him and neither one helped me. Dr. Carolan improved my Incurable chronic lung condition by over 80%. I feel great and can finally breath again. Thank you Dr. Carolan.
