She just has a very strange bedside manner... She tends to minimize your symptoms. Maybe she is trying to reassure people, but when you are experiencing symptoms that affect your quality of life you don't really need to hear someone tell you they are not a big deal. She tends to talk to you like you are an idiot, and does not really show much empathy. I've actually had much better experiences with the Nurse Practitioners in the practice.

I really like Dr. Yu's manner. She has a matter-of-fact and down-to-earth way about her. She treats the whole person, and is interested in job, family, exercise as opposed to just one's reproductive tract. She has a great knowledge base of women's health, in general.

I have discontinued going to DR. Yu. for a few reasons. Every time I had an appointment the Doctor was at least 45 minutes late. This can happen but not every visit. Also on my last visit I was handed a sheet and told to undress from the waist down. I have never been to an ob/gyn Dr who did this and when I mentioned a breast exam I was told to pull my bra up. I found this very degrading . I'm sure the DR. is well educated but it is necessary to concern yourself with the patient.
