Greta Taitelbaum's Online Review Report Card

Very caring people.

This doctor NEVER saw us, her secretary shoveled the preparation paperwork on our face and told us to buy the prep meds, and that's all. We were NEVER told about possible side effects or medication interaction, and this doctor NEVER took time to see us before the colonoscopy. My husband had severe side effects which cause us to call his doctor in the middle of the night, almost went to ER, and had to cancel the colonoscopy. We were treated with total disregard and disrespect, and DO NOT RECOMMEND i the place or the invisible doctor to anyone!

She helped me tremendously, she scheduled me for 3 tests on the same day, to save me time, and to figure out what was going on with me, as soon as possible. Upper endoscopy was scheduled and done within days. Yes, she does not talk much and does not explain much, but she did what I needed at that time and I am very grateful. Of note, her assistant Christine is absolutely fabulous. Also, I had a very good experience at the endoscopy suite in Framingham, in and out, no delays. Elena

I have been a patient of Dr. Taitelbaum for several years. She has always been amazing- very knowledgeable, trusting, and professional. I am very surprised by other reviews of poor bedside manner, because my experiences have always been very positive! I would recommend her to my friends and family!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Taitelbaum’s for several years now. She has always been a wonderful doctor...very knowledgeable, caring, and professional. I was very surprised to read other reviews of poor bed-side manner, to which I strongly disagree. I consider myself a high-maintenance person that holds myself and others to high standards. Dr. T has always provided exceptional care and to that I thank her! My stomach does too!

I just want to start off saying I've seen Greta since I was 16 and didn't know much about ulcerative colitis. I was diagnosed after taking accutane for 2-3 months. Anyhow, I started seeing Greta. She managed to get my UC slightly under control for a few years. She constantly belittles her patients when trying to describe symptoms. Rushes through appointment and makes calls off of just viewing charts. In situations like my own where I have not been in remission after 10 years of suffering this is a problem. I'm posting this review as I've finally had enough of Greta's antics and am taking my health back with the help of a more professional and caring GI doctor. I should not have to go to the ER on countless trips to have Greta not even discuss with hospital doctors my history. I'm not kidding it is a big mistake to see Greta. Do yourself a favor and find a doctor that will do their job and care about your symptoms to find the appropriate diagnosis and not make You feel as if you're making up a sickness. Very unprofessional.

I left my first appointment with Dr. Taitelbaum in tears. Her bedside manner was awful. Came in said she looked at my history, wanted to know why I was there, asked when I wanted to schedule another colonoscopy and it was my decision and that she wasn't God and couldn't make that decision. Just felt very rushed like my situation wasn't important. The check out receptionist was snarky with me, then began arguing with someone on phone. Walked out..."did this just happen?"

My first visit with her was OK. I then had emergency abdominal surgery, weeks of severe nausea, and went to see her again. TOTAL waste of time. She was so spaced out that it was frightening...kept saying "Just why are you here to see me?", despite explaining several times. Secretary asked when I wanted another appointment. I said I'd call (knowing I'd never return), and she said "If you don't schedule NOW, I'll have to PUT IT ON YOUR RECORD!" Seriously?!? So I had to book - but cancelled later.

I have recommened Dr Taitelbaum to many people. My Mother and son have both seen her and liked her. I love her. She knows who I am and my family when we see her out of office. She has been on top of my symptoms and has me under control. I am very thankful to have her in my corner.

I am so fortunate to have Dr Taitelbaum as my GI doctor! She was kind and patient and kept me at ease! She was able to diagnose my problem where others failed!
