I hate the long wait for someone to answer my calls. Otherwise my Prior Authorizations are quick, procedures are scheduled with great efficiency. I’ve never had a delay in filling my prescriptions. They only need extra help answering phone lines. I hate waiting on hold for such long periods.
I would definitely recommend Dr Brazil !
This doctor's office is so unprofessional. They never return calls, they claim that you never leave messages, when you do and his staff is incredibly rude.
I had an appointment for 8 am and arrived at 7:30. The office wasn't open yet so I waited in the hallway. After a few minutes another patient showed up and began to wait as well. Then another patient showed up to wait as well. We all had 8 am appointments. The staff opened the door at 8:02. I filled out my COVID-19 paperwork and waited at the desk. About 10 minutes later the receptionist showed up and greeted one of the patients by name and grabbed her file and placed it in the rack for the nurse. Then she grabbed the other patients file and put it in the rack. At 8:30 she asked for my name. After I told her my name I explained that I had an 8 AM appointment and I was waiting since 7:30 before anyone else. she said just go have a seat and They'll call you. Then they proceeded to call me in at 8:38. I went into the exam room and told the nurse that I have to be at an appointment at 9. Long story short the doctor wasn’t there. I came back at 1 and he had no memory of doing my injections

After I told her my name I explained that I had an 8 AM appointment and I was waiting since 7:30 before anyone else. she said just go have a seat and They'll call you. Then they proceeded to call the other two patients first. The one patient even told them to take me first because he could wait. They call me in at 8:38. I went into the exam room and told the nurse that I have to be at an appointment for work at 9. She just closed the door. At 8:50 I called my client to try and reschedule by leaving a voicemail. Then I called my boss who was upset because I was trying to reschedule the appointment. Fearing the consequences at 8:48 I left the exam room and told the nurse I needed to reschedule and I was upset about the situation. She asked if I could come back tomorrow. I said no I can't. She said what about 1pm today? I agreed and was turning to leave and I almost bumped into the doctor coming in the side entrance. He was just arriving at 8:55 am! Now I can understand if he had an emergency but why not tell me? At 12:30 I arrived for my 1 pm appointment and was brought back to an exam room at 1. The doctor came in at 12:09 and was visibly upset. When I said that I was sorry I didn't have time to wait in the morning he said that I should be upset because of how badly I treated his staff. I told him that it's rude and unprofessional to not communicate to your patients. If you had an emergency you should let your patients know and reschedule if they can't wait. He opened my file and asked if I was going to have my second procedure and why did you come in for your post procedure appointment without having your procedure. He had done both of my procedures within two weeks of each other. Apparently he didn't remember and maybe it wasn't documented in the file. I am scared to go back if he doesn't even remember doing my procedures. He is very old though. When I questioned him he got even more upset and closed the file. He said well if you feel better now you can make another appointment if you start hurting again. I asked if he wanted to see the injection sites he said no. Then he left the exam room. I feel relief from the treatment but will never go back to this office again. Scary that the doctor doesn't even remember a procedure he performed two weeks before. And all staff and the doctor so unprofessional and unpleasant. Find another doctor.
Dr. Brazill is awesome! Thank you!
I have had my back fused at the lower end and also broke one vertebra that didn't heal like I hoped it would. Because of this I have gone to several Pain management Dr's in the Bakersfield area where the first three were a total joke. Then I got referred to Dr. Brazill and what a breath of fresh air. I can't say much about his bed side manner, but who cares. His surgery center is top notch and the same for all of his assistants, and same goes for what he has done for me.
The doctor is super sweet and very helpful with my pain issues. If a procedure he performs does not work for me then he will proceed to plan B. I highly recommend Dr. Brazill for your pain problems!!
Dr Brazil was the only doctor in Bakersfield that could remove my DRG stimulator this is the only reason I went to him. I have CRPS which is the known and new acronym he refuses to call it by the new acronym and only calls it RSD. He dismissed what I had to say about my own medical history. He became grumpy and mean when I didn't want to follow his plan of action. He wanted me to put in a second spinal cord stimulator in, when my consult was for a failing DRG stimulator. I didn't want a second one, I just wanted him to remove the DRG I had and this became a problem. He is partial owner in the clinic where I had my surgery done. I think money has a role in his suggested plans of care. I would not recommend Dr Brazil.
Dr Brazil is a grumpy old man that is so angry with the way meds are controlled that he does NOT care for his patients anymore. He even told me all he cares about is retiring with enough money before FDA takes everything away. He is MEAN and will make you cry and feel like nothing! His other Drs in his office are wonderful and try to help as much as they can. Dr. Brazil pushes epidurals on everyone even if you have a reaction to it because he performs the surgeries so it's more money for him. Same goes for the Stimulator!! He is a horrid man that needs to be fired asap before he kills another patient.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
