List of Baystate Family Medicine- Greenfield's Reviews
I find it insane when nobody masks in this office staff and patients and across the street at hospital they require that when entering you mask up. There was one doctor that did mask here then said be careful of Covid 19 then the next doctor didnt have one. Thank you.
My review is mostly towards dr urquhart that has an extremely condescending and judgemental attitude. My son is petrified of having a test done and instead of treating him when he has the symptoms of a bacterial infection that she very much reiterated and tried to scare me about, they wont treat him for unless we hold him down and he has the test done. Since she talked this way to me I said fine we will bring him in and then all of a sudden its "ohh well I can't have you bring him in and have someone get hurt" SO you SEE my problem you mean? Im not asking for antibiotics for the fact he was simply exposed but he has the SYMPTOMS, so lets traumatize him so we can confirm what we already know? Real nice. This place has gone down the drain. The doctors are terrible and unreasonable. She judged me for respecting my childs fears about this test and then told me I shouldnt bring him in if he is going to struggle with it and hurt himself or others. Great problem solving lady. Also, he is 9 and has been on antibiotics only one other time in his life. And today my update is similar to everyone else's reviews. My child has signs of an ear infection and is in a lot of pain. Their solution? "You'll hear from us by the end of the day." Nice.
Lost paperwork, slow response time, lack of communication between departments. Not a good look, I advise another office.
They are too busy to care about the needs of me , much less my family. I will be looking into other options . Thanks for almost letting me die
This is the 3rd instance I've called the office with an issue, I called 3 times yesterday and again this morning and no call back. I understand that the medical field is highly understaffed and extremely busy but this is unacceptable, all that is needed is a simple antibiotic and no call, no prescription, nothing. My family and I will be moving to another primary care provider as soon as they have an opening because although I understand that everyone is busy, there is no excuse for not returning calls or sending in a simple prescription (non addictive). :(
I've dealt with rude receptionist at this office that's loves to argue. Needless to say this will be the last visit there!
Absolute incompetence. Baystate took over an existing working office managed to lose the majority of its patients. Patients felt that care went into the toilet when the existing MDs left with retirement. Baystate replaced them with a turnstile of practitioners who left because of management. They then moved and consolidated the office to Greenfield. In Greenfield they managed to hire a clinician who saw fit to video his patients including children in various states. Wonderful job. It’s impossible to get through and speak with anyone in the office. The call system will also dump your call often and hang up. I’ve had Lyme disease several times. I also work in the healthcare field . When I relayed my concerns they told me I would have to wait for Lyme testing which is not accurate. My symptoms are spot on to the other cases. Now I’ve rapidly become more sick. They just don’t care don’t waste your time or resources.
Very short staffed.
Unfortunately, our visit today made me want to look for a new provider. I brought my 6 month old in for his appt at 8:20. The woman behind the desk didn’t arrive for work until 8:30 so i just ended standing in the waiting room with the baby carrier until she signed in. Once admitted, We then waited another 10 minutes in the examination room (thank goodness i brought toys and a bottle), until someone came in to take his measurements and vitals and then left us again for another 10minutes. All in all, my infant and I were either in the waiting room or just waiting in the examination room FOR AN HOUR. This is unacceptable for a 6month old paitent. I then asked for a print out of his visit 3 TIMES and still ended up leaving without it. I was told by the doctor at the end of my visit to set up his 8-9 month appt at the desk but when I went to the desk they told me “oh we don’t schedule out that far,” so clearly the desk and the doctors don’t communicate. Everyone in the waiting room seemed to be having similarly frustrating experiences as one woman said to reception, “You called me! So why am I here?” This practice just seems disorganized, confused, and not paitent friendly. If someone knows of anywhere else taking new patients I would love to know.
Called on Saturday because my 87 year old mom has a urinary tract infection and is hallucinating, received a call back 2 hours later and was given a visiting care facility and was told they don’t come to our area, called back a second time and still haven’t received a call back 4 hours later, poor mama. Horrendous service, well no service really

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
