List of Melissa Mahr's Reviews
Frankly, it’s really hard to be worse than this. Dr. Melissa Mahr & her team created the worst imaginable PCP experience for my family. You need your PCP to be the to-go-person for almost everything & on top of that you expect to get a professional & good medical advice/treatment. None of this is the case for her. Our whole family were really sick, but they didn’t give us an appointment & all they ...
I am 40 and lived in 3 different continents she is by far the worst doctor I’ve ever had. if you need a doctor to go to and feel mistreated and feel worst than before then I really recommend this doctor. I had an appointment with her to talk about the depression and the medication she gave me. the day before my visit my son got flu and I got sick too with coughs. but didn’t know what that is. fist ...
Awful PCP as she makes you feel like you’re putting her out and talks like you don’t know what you’re talking about and “passes the buck”. I would never recommend her. The Staff is very nice and informative- thus giving 2 stars
Initial meeting was fine, but after that meeting with multiple attempts to reach her again via phone and email (refill of a very needed medication) be yielded only a phone call with her nurse. Having my condition for over 10 years and only 4 days left of my meds, and being told it’s probably caused by a lack of iron and to get a blood test and take a bunch of vitamins. The last of my attempts ended with a forced phone call with Dr Mahr who with an attitude snd made me feel like I was putting her out, said she’d write the prescription but to have my neurologist take over managing the prescription- my old PCP is the one who diagnosed me and was responding. Dr Mahr is a disgrace!
I have been a patient of Dr. Mahr for over 5 years now. I won't put into question her knowledge or her personality. The thing that really irritated me about her was the fact that even when i saw her at least once a year, she never seemed to check on my chart before coming to me, every time she asked me about my children (i went thru infertility issues with her!) and stuff about my history that she really should have known, and never about changes in any previous conditions/issues we treated before. More than once I had to wait for her inside the examination room for over 20 min. and come out to ask the nurses to please call her. She never once looked interested or caring. I stayed with her because i didn't want to go thru the hassle of changing pcp's, but kept thinking about changing. Now she's gone from the clinic i visit, and i will have to change, finally. I will do a better homework now checking for ratings and recommendations.
I live Dr. Mahr. She listens, she’s very kind and has helped me a lot.
She is very kind and has helped me a lot.
I am questioning the negative reviews. I am terrified of doctors and hospitals, I`ve been a patient of hers for years, and I would not go to anyone else, she puts me at ease with her kind & compassionate manner..she`s awesome !
Today was my first visit with her. I have to say that I am absolutely shocked at some of the negative reviews here. I had the absolute polar opposite experience! She was extremely kind and thorough. She asked a lot of questions and she intently listened to my answers. She made suggestions she gave me phone numbers and information based on her own personal experiences with other medical professionals. We even had a personal conversation about our children. I hope to be in her care for many years to come.
Condescending, rude, cold..

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
