List of Cape Cod Ear Nose And Throat Specialists's Reviews
Thank You Dr. Wood for easing my anxiety, and fear. And PROVIDING excellent service to me.
I still think about how awkward my visit was with Dr. Johnston a year later. I am fairly certain if he could have diagnosed me with hysteria he would.
When Dr. Gordon was still at this office, it was worth the wait to see him. Now, I am still waiting ( after three weeks) for a prescription renewal for my broken CPAP machine. After I left the office visit, they called me to ask what my settings are, despite Dr. Caldwell having written the original Rx. Guess their records don’t go back five years. So I suggested they call the pharmacy to get the settings. Then they never sent the Rx to the pharmacy. Four or five calls later (between pharmacy and dr office) and still, as far as I can discover, no prescription. Very disappointing. I will find out if Dr. Jones in Harwich does CPAP treatments for my next follow-up, since Dr. Caldwell apparently has no history for me anyway. Dr. Gordon would not have operated this way.😔
Staff was efficient and friendly, doctor was personable and actually listened. Highly recommended.
I use to live on the cape and came here and was a patient I would see Dr. Caldwell since I was a little girl i thought Dr.Caldwell knew what he was doing. I moved to plymouth and I'm going to plymouth ear nose and throat specialist and the Dr. I see from their knows way more than Dr. Caldwell did I still appreciate Dr. Caldwell for seeing me over the years and taking my tonsils out when I was a little girl
I would recommend going to Boston and avoid this place. Dr. Johnston, in my opinion, is the worst doctor I’ve ever been to. I was referred to him and when I showed up he was dismissive and didn’t have the time to address my condition.
Recommend going elsewhere. Went in for sinus pressure and pain with inner ear congestion. Dr. J said there was nothing he could do because they not tied together and won’t affect each other. Just the opposite is true. Nurse practitioner was able to help at another practice.
Firstly, the entire team has been wonderful from the receptionists to Dr. Johnston. I had a very bad deviated septum and wasn't able to breathe right for years. Had my surgery Monday, got my splints out today, and I feel amazing. I would recommend coming here if you need to have your nose fixed because they did such a great job. 10/10 would get this done again.
I posted the following review about a year ago and somehow it disappeared. Here it is again. I went to see Dr. Jackson about a growth in my nose. He suggested I have it removed in an office procedure by him. My insurance plan required prior authorization for the surgery in order to pay for it, and every time I called the insurance company they confirmed this. His staff kept refusing to do this until a staff member at the well-known insurance company called his office and left a message stating authorization was needed. They also contacted my primary care doctor. Finally, authorization was obtained from one of my doctor's offices, I think my primary care's. When I walked into the room for the surgery, I was looking around for a place to put my things. Dr. Jackson's assistant told me to put them on the chair on the right. I asked, "Here?" and she snapped at me several times, saying something like, "Of course there!" "There's only one right, isn't there?!!" and other snaps. It was startling and I felt uncomfortable and unsafe. When Dr. Jackson came in the room, I asked to speak to him alone for a moment. I didn't want to embarrass his staff but felt he would want to know about the authorization struggle and his assistant snapping at me just before a procedure. In response, Dr. Jackson issued what felt like a veiled threat. He called me "litigious" even though I hadn't mentioned or even thought of a lawyer and asked me, since I had an "adversarial relationship" with his staff, if I really wanted to have the procedure done there. I was shocked . . . it felt like something out of the blue. But since I needed the procedure, I did some quick flattery and he went ahead with it. Within two weeks, the growth came back. In fairness, he said it might eventually return, but I was surprised and dismayed it happened so soon. Of course, I asked my wonderful primary care doctor for a referral to another ENT doctor, and this one was really good . . . professional, pleasant, listened to me, and answered all my questions! His staff was unfailingly knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. He performed a more thorough procedure. This time, it was successful and there was hardly any pain afterwards. The growth has not returned. Happy, happy.
Called and was able to get an appt the next day, which is totally unbelievable but so greatly appreciated ! Staff was very friendly, quick reply to calls/emails. Dr. Caldwell was great ! In and out in 5 minutes !

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
