After years of seeing the Dr. I unfortunately had to end our relationship. The disconnect between the Dr and the practice was frustrating. Lack of communication and misunderstanding rule the day. Every time you call for help you can be told months to see someone and maybe call back. I was able to find another primary care doctor for intake before Mugfords people could see me. A regular patient. Would not recommend, unless you want platitudes that equal out to poor service with a smile. The final nail in the coffin was having an employee misrepresent out interaction in an office memo. My trust was violated by this person and I'd never go back. The staff lacks integrity, not my people.

Dr. Mugford cares for both of my children and has exceeded my expectations in a pediatrician. When my children are sick they are always seen same or next day at the very latest, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. The care he provides is always efficient , to the point and extremely effective. Not to mention the kids love him!

I have had a lot of doctors in my life. Dr. Mugford is by far the best doctor I have ever had. He listens, cares, and always explains what he thinks is wrong, and what his plan will be to address it. I've recommended all of my family members to him and he now sees my brother, mother and my cousins. The office staff are always pleasant and he always seems to run on time.

Dr. Mugford came highly recommended. I have never met a Dr. who was so rude and unprofessional towards me. He misdiagnosed my condition and was upset when I took it upon myself to see a specialist. He actually dropped me as a patient after finding out I went to see a specialist!

Dr. James Mugford has been treating my entire family for the last 10 years! As both an adult and pediatric doctor, he truly cares for my family. Always kind, caring and honest. We are always comfortable with every visit!

I work for a Pediatric Specialty Clinic in the Boston area. My mother needed a new PCP who would treat her with kindness and respect. Dr. Mugford exceeded our expectations! Her previous PCP was ready to ship her to a nursing home but this Dr. gave her the care needed and 4 years later she is living independently on her own in relatively good health for an 88 yr old.:) He really listens well and cares about his patients. The quality of care is acceptional. The office staff is wonderful as well.

Dr Mugford was referred to us by Baystate to be our son's pediatrician when he was first born. I was immediately impressed with his professionalism and warm, straightforward personality. Dr Mugford is simultaneously refreshingly down-to-earth and extremely professional. Thanks to Dr Mugford being double-board certified, he is a pcp as well as a pediatrician. Almost 6 years later, Dr Mugford is now my second son's pediatrician as well as MY physician, and my husband's too :) Staff is wonderful!

Dr. Mugford is wonderful one of the best physicians I've seen!! Now as for the office staff; found it to be very unprofessional, they are kids sitting behind the counter not dressed professionally found it to look unprofessional. Lastly, the billing department needs major improvement!! i was billed twice for the same office visit, after looking further into my complaint they admitted they had made a mistake, it ONLY took 2 months to resolve. this happened on 2 different occasions.

Dr. Mugford is super straight forward and attentive. He takes the time to really listen to what is going on with you. I'm so glad that I switched to his office!
