Six hundred patients, that’s unprofessional. Time with the doctor is way too short! Talks at people, doesn’t listen to his patients.

I been with Dr Erdmann for almost 15 yrs now and have had a very good repore with him n he is the best pych Dr Ive found yet!

he BROKE my mother s heart..

Saw the doctor many many years ago after brain damaged I had as a direct result from a very bad reaction to drug Luvox. Initially I think he was worried about me At the time neither of us knew I had active Lyme disease. after my Dads I caughthim in a version of alie and that was it I think he needs to be needed and can't truly operate in a patients best interest. There are so many bad practioners in this field and there was something about his belittling I thought I deserved at the time . I believe in his mind he thought he was doing me a favor . I do believe he wanted me to some how survive but perhaps just doesn't have it for type practice he is trying to run. Always good to get other opinions and trust your gut and maybe even bring a friend

He's always late a d triple books and you get no time and little attention and shallow therapy.

He's a solo flyer with no staff and he constantly overbooks and there could be 3 of you waiting for the same time slot. Once he sent me home without seeing me. When you are with him he is taking calls, typing into his overly codependent relationship with his computer. His diagnosis seems to be lead by what the computer says. He is not modern and holistic and even questioned the usefullnes of depresion for my affective disorders. He's harder and harder to schedule which because he is disorganized in many ways and overbooked (and misbooked) and I am never sure if he is attentive. Its buyer beware so i would shop around. He does seem to know how to apply meds but i found another doctor who is more holistic and am happier.

He is constantly late, double books leaving you and 1-2 others embarrassingly waiting for the same time slot. His methods are not modern and his awareness of complementary therapies is nil and he is sarcastic about something as benign and proven to be helpful for mental disease such as meditation and yoga. His knowledge his limited to medications. He is a one man show and can be impossible to reach. His voice mailbox is always full. He answers all his phone calls during your session. He is constantly selling his groups which are revolving doors full of people just there for a prescription and you never see them again. He has poor actual theoretical knowledge of group dynamic and group therapy protocols. It's like an easy way for him to make extra money per hour and double bill people for Rx visit and group session . He is disorganized. He promises to call in a med to CVS and never does. He always does "prior authorizations" wrong and blames either CVS or the insurance carrier. But, when you track it down it's. 90% of the time his fault. He's overbooked. He seems to be in an emotional transition and its getting worse. He has his pluses but Its buyer beware. I would look for someone younger and trained in the statue of the art application of therapy options. He is all about meds only. Remember you are the buyer and never give the doctor all the power and over idealize him. You will be sorry later when progress is slow, you think you are being monitored and your not, and you read about meditation or cognitive therapy and he is snide with you. I think he needs to regroup or get ready to retire.

The "doctor" missed two appointments. The first was our first and he forgot to calendar it. So I sat in his waiting room with another patient only to be sent away. The second, he cancelled so he could see an "emergency." He did not have the courtesy to tell me until after I was sitting in his waiting room for 20 minutes. I never rescheduled after that. FYI: he answers cell phone calls during the sessions and sits with a laptop typing while you talk. Very awkward. I do not recommend him.

I was misdiagnosed with having bipolar. The first visit I was taken off my one antidepressant and put on many medications, one being a alzheimer drug, after that it went all downhill. I was put on high potency drugs...too many to count. He put me on adderall in the morning, because that was the only way that I could get up. The medication he had me on was so sedating.
