He discussed our options and we agreed that we have tried all avenues to treat the stenosis pain and he thoroughly explained the minimum invasive procedure that we chose. Dr. Kuris was helpful to me by showing my xrays to me and explaining what we were seeing. He was compassionate in that he said he has seen worse cases in people younger than me.

Having spent some number of years dealing with spinal issues, Dr. Kuris was recommended to me. At my first visit, he treated me like an intelligent woman instead of some senile, old whiney woman. He talked to me in terms I could understand, explained the issues and outlined the options I had to help improve the condition. He set up a program to address the problems and involved two other doctors in my treatment, both of whom were equally wonderful. I found him to be compassionate, supportive and followed through on all procedures. And his support staff were equally good.

Dr. Kuris is a wonderful surgeon. After an MRI I went to him - he explained the problem and what needed to be done (in language + the MRI pictures so I understood the urgency). I am happy to say that the operation was a complete success. It has been almost 6 months and I have no pain and am enjoying my active life again! All of my friends are amazed.

Outstanding surgical experience with Dr. Kuris, as well as the entire University Orthopedics complement. I need surgery to address a condition of cervical myelopathy. In every respect, from initial diagnostic visit to post-discharge follow-up, the care I received was exemplary, and the physicians and nurses who worked with Dr. Kuris were impeccably professional, compassionate, and competent. I would recommend Dr. Kuris and University Ortho without reservation.
