Dr. Coffin is wonderful! Very knowledgeable, honest and thorough.

NP Katelyn (Marlborough) has helped to improve my health more than any physician has in years. I highly recommend her. Katelyn actually takes the time to listen, follows up promptly and truly cares about her patients (she won't make you feel rushed).

I was impressed with my primary care doctor, the nurses and the assistants. I felt confident that my care was being managed. It was fine while I had a commercial health plan. I'm newly retired and have just started on a Medicare Advantage Plan. Unfortunately, CRMA only takes Tufts Medicare Preferred advantage plan. That's the only one. That stinks. It makes me wonder if they really want to service Medicare patients. I had researched the Medicare Advantage options, and for me the Tufts plan didn't cut it. I am an established patient with several specialists in the Mass General Brigham network. All of them took the Mass General Brigham Medicare Advantage plan. It was only my PCP who did not. Several of my specialists did not take Tufts Medicare Preferred. I was faced with having to find a new PCP and keep all of my specialists, or to keep my PCP and a couple of my specialists. Changing doctors is a royal pain, and getting a first appointment seems to typically take a year. My medical situation is that would not work for me. I had selected my PCP at CRMA, because they are part of the Mass General Brigham network. If they were not, I wouldn't have gone there. One frustration with CRMA was with lab work. Patients at CRMA HAVE to use their office. I once tried to use a Mass General Brigham lab. They cannot see the lab orders from a CRMA doctor. I am guessing that CRMA is trying to keep revenues from lab testing. Just a guess.

I never write reviews but after the last few weeks ive had with them I must say something. It's absolutely horrible and disgusting to play with people's health and time the way they do. They accepted me as a patient then out of the blue decided they no longer took my insurance. I was completely blindsided left with with having to immediately find a new PCP because they refused to fill my prescriptions, and the ones they did fill were completely wrong (thanks Alicia). Save yourself the trouble.

I don't write many reviews but feel strongly about sharing my overall positive experience with the Marlborough office, and don't know a better way to express my gratitude. My family and I have visited for years and have consistently found the administrative and medical staff to be genuinely friendly, attentive, and highly professional. Our many questions and requests are always responded to within 24 hours (often going above and beyond to provide help), appointments are easy to schedule & reschedule, and we are never kept waiting. I couldn't be more grateful for the level of care and attention given to my family and me, and I would recommend the Marlborough office to anyone looking for the same. Thank you!!

After a few wonderful visits with a NP who must have realized she would be more valued elsewhere, I unfortunately have to say my experience with Charles River has been overall negative. The issues truly started when an appointment I had was cancelled with no notice and no reschedule. I went up until the day of the appointment assuming I still had it, until I called them to double-check (after noticing it missing on mychart). No notice, no phone call, no new appointment. They just outright cancelled it and seemed to be confused by my discontent. Then once I finally got in, the receptionist told me they don't take my insurance anymore. After some deliberation in the back, they told me they could take me today but that I needed to find another PCP within a year. Since then they've been quite reluctant to take my medical concerns seriously... Honestly, my former NP was most of the reason I went here, so with her gone & my insurance not even being accepted any longer, I guess it's not a huge loss.

I've gone there for a long time, and like the people who work there, but they seem to have a prickle with anything having to do with the phone. Whether it's getting back to me, or calling the pharmacy, it's a crap shoot if it will be done. This can be very frustrating.

I see Dr. Kommineni and her NP Brett, they are both extremely thorough and kind. Dani at the front desk always tries her best to get you in asap for sick visits and is a great advocate with other offices. Sandra her Medical assistant, is top notch! Can't even feel it when she draws your blood, and she always remembers the details of what you like and what you don't like, she always asks relevant questions and is genuinely caring.

Lazy doctors. Dr. Coffin is arrogant, lazy and impatient. He will talk over you, interrupt you and is a bit too sarcastic for the population he serves. He is lazy and doesn't feel part of his job is to deal with things like paperwork, reports, accurate assessments and fact gathering. Dr. Kumar is also lazy and dismissive of your ailments. He glosses over them and applies temporary solutions instead of helping get to the crux of the issue. This practice used to have a very thorough NP but she left and is greatly missed.
