Robert Burr's Online Review Report Card

I have to admit after reading other reviews i was scared to meet Dr Burr. I just want to say he's EXCELLENT!! I'm not one who likes to go to doctors. I had no clue what i had going on. Dr Burr told me all about it. He gave his personal opion but went above and beyond " he assumes nothing " I was in awww. He could see I need a little guidance and wrote down the steps I needed to take for certian test. Explained it utill I got it. Never made me feel rushed or that I was bothering him. He has been the only doctor to explain my issue as to where I undersood. Gave me some tests and some great resources that I could use. People if you are in need of an Endo/diabetic doctor this man is the one!! I don't hug strange men but i gave him the hugest hug. This man is warm,inviting and he listens. I wish he could be my full time doctor. Thank you Dr Burr Shannin kelly

Dr. Burr replaced Dr. Angela Boldo in 2017 in Falmouth. I have no idea why people are poorly rating him in the yeasts prior to him coming here from Utah

Dr. Burr is the best Doctor I have had in 29 years of being a Diabetic! He not only listens to my issues, he helps me fix them!

Dr Burr was arrogant and dismissive. He did not look at my medical records, medication list, or the questionnaire I filled out, but rather jumped to conclusions and made assumptions. He told me many people with autoimmune thyroid never go hypothyroid and never need treatment. I have already been diagnosed as having overt hypothyroidism and have been treating it for 3 years, so I am not sure why he would tell me this. He told me my family history didn't matter (all 4 of my sibilings and both parents have thyroid problems.), but then also told me it runs in families and my children will likely have it too. He said my fatigue, low body temperature, etc. have nothing to do with my thyroid and recommended I see a sleep specialist. I asked if that is true, then why do I feel better on thyroid medication? He replied because thyroid meds are an "upper," but then went on to explain that my thyroid will continue to lose function over time and I will need to keep increasing my dose until I am at my full replacement dose. I was getting mixed messages and felt dismissed and humiliated. Any PCP can run TSH labs and adjust your levothyroxine accordingly. Going to this specialist was a huge waste of time and money.

Terrible "DR"!!! Horrible!!

Dr. Burr does not know the difference between hypo/hyperparathyroidism. We avoided some medical mistakes because we searched the Mayo Clinic website and WebMD to find out what he told us was completely wrong concerning parathyroidism. We made an appointment with another endocrinologist who referred us to a surgeon to remove the bad parathyroid causing high calcium and terrible symptoms such as foggy brain, pain in bones, stroke like symptoms and kidney stones. I do not recommend this doctor to anyone. We wondered why it was so easy to get into him (next day appointment).

I saw this doctor and asked for help with my adrenals due to the labs coming in with low-normal, and very low lab ranges. He did not want to run any further labs in order to get a better view of what is occurring--including doing the very basic ACTH stim test, which provides a clearer picture as to what is going on. He was patronizing, speaking to me and my husband in a child-like tone; it was really uncomfortable as his tonality was so whimsical and definitely not professional. I had to challenge him several times with research findings, which he dismissed. Basically, unless you have an illness that is easy to treat, he doesn't want to do the hard work. I found him to be negligible. Don't bother if your hormones are out of whack; find someone else that wants to really help.

The staff is very unprofessional. I have been a long time patient, but I am fed up with the unprofessionalism and never being able to call me back. I have left 5 messages over that last week, no response. I am done with them. Dr. Burr is a great guy and a good doctor, he just needs real office staff.

Dr. Burr's staff is completely unprofessional. Do you like being insulted? Great! Go talk to Dr. Burr's staff. Otherwise, go see a different endocrinologist.

My experience here was horrible and cost me over $1000 dollars. He has NO beside manner and did nothing to help me with my thyroid issues. I felt like i was getting interrogated and scolded. I paid for the visit upfront since i didn't have insurance and 6 months later i started getting bills for $300+. I tried getting a hold of billing, left messages and they never called me back. The bills kept coming. When i finally got a hold of them they acted very annoyed and made it seem like it was my fault. Go somewhere else, ANYWHERE ELSE!!!
